FIAMMISAYS: YES AND NO of OCTOBER 2012 (THE FALL SEASON)

Here we are…. this is the FOURTH appointment with my section “FIAMMISAYS” started on July 2012. Eccoci… questo è il QUARTO appuntamento con la mia rubrica “FIAMMISAYS” partita a Luglio 2012. Per una introduzione e breve descrizione di questa mia nuova “avventura”, guarda QUI (ci puoi trovare anche il primo appuntamento – LUGLIO, il secondo – AGOSTO – VACANZE AL MARE ed il terzo- SETTEMBRE – BACK TO SCHOOL, BACK TO WORK)

MOTHER
(for those who, like me, is always in a hurry, sleeps little, but want to keep an “healthy” look  – per chi, come me, è sempre di fretta, dorme poco, ma vuole mantenere un aspetto “sano”)

YES TO:

• THE JEWELED COLLARS, you can find them really in any material or variant (also at a good price – very nice the ZARA ones) they are comfortable and enliven suffered a t-shirt or an old round neck. Wear them well during the day to go to work, they will give you an air of refinement and it will look like you always have a new look! In addition, they will give light to your face (my face, given the few hours of sleep, usually, I indulge, really needs it!!)
• I COLLETTI GIOIELLO, li puoi trovare veramente in ogni materiale e variante (anche a buon prezzo – molto carini quelli di ZARA) Sono comodi e ravvivano subito una t-shirt o un vecchio paricollo. Indossali pure anche di giorno per andare a lavorare, ti daranno un’aria raffinata e sembrerai avere sempre un look nuovo. In più ti daranno luce al viso (il mio, viste le poche ore di sonno che, di solito, mi concedo, ne ha proprio bisogno!!!!!) 

• THE LONG SKIRT, still in the limelight for this fall, with a fantastic animalier sweater (the leopard print more than ever), a belt over the sweater and your favorite boots. Best suited for those who are always in a hurry and want to look always in order. Perfect for the evening, but not with high heels!
• LA GONNA LUNGA, ancora protagonista anche per questo autunno, fantastica con un golfino animalier (la stampa leopardo più che mai), una cintura sopra il maglioncino ed i tuoi stivali preferiti. Adatissima per chi è sempre di corsa e vuole sembrare sempre in ordine. Perfetta anche per la sera, ma non con i tacchi alti!!!

• THE SWEATSHIRT , reviewed and revised, printed, with precious embroideries, is the real must have for this fall season. Amazing those MSGM’s. It Becomes, for the first time, a stylish piece that complements a refined look. Wear it during the day, for a cocktail and, why not, in the evening, this time with high heels! You will, however, look healthy and cared for.
• LA FELPA, rivista e rivisitata, stampata, con applicazioni preziose, è il vero oggetto da avere per questo autunno, Meravigliose quelle di MSGM. Diventa, per la prima volta, un capo elegante che completa un look raffinato. Indossala di giorno, per un aperitivo e, perchè no, anche di sera, stavolta con tacchi altissimi!!! Ti darà, comunque, un aspetto sano e curato.

NO TO:

• THE PAJAMAS LOOK, in the sense of those suits jacket and trousers, replicated for this seasons, which really look like a pajamas! I really do not like, they are comfortable, ok, but the effect is “just got out of bed, even if coiffed and with make-up.” If you’ve already purchased it, matches the jacket with a pair of jeans and keep the pants to stay at home, maybe the postman arrives and you will be super fashion!!
• IL LOOK PIGIAMA, nel senso di quei completi giacca e pantaloni, riproposti anche per l’inverno, che hanno davvero tutta l’aria di un pigiama!! Proprio non mi piacciono, saranno comodi, ok, ma l’effetto è “appena scesi dal letto, anche se truccata e pettinata”. Se lo hai già comprato, abbina la giacca ad un paio di jeans ed i pantaloni tienili per stare in casa, magari suona il postino e sarai super fashion!!!!

• THE FRINGES ON THE PANTS, I’ve seen them around … really! Ok for cow girl look, but just a piece, please! Ok for scarves with the fringes, ok for shirts with the fringes, ok for jackets (some) with the fringes, but the pants with the fringes really NOT. Where you going? Come on, do not exaggerate! If you feel like really, why not think about a new haircut?? 😉
• LE FRANGE SUI PANTALONI, ne ho viste in giro… davvero!!! Passi per la moda cowgirl, ma limitiamoci ad un pezzo, per favore!! Ok per le sciarpe con le frange, ok per le camicie con le frange, ok per le giacche (alcune) con le frange, ma i pantaloni con le frange proprio NO. Dove pensi di andare?? Dai, su, non esagerare!! Se proprio ne hai voglia, perchè non pensare ad un nuovo taglio di capelli??? 😉

• THE  TOTAL PRINT LOOK,I know that you’re always in a hurry and that to open the closet and find all things of the same print is easy even in the dark, but the total print look seems a little exaggerated. It is ok that Prada has filled the catwalks with that, but the models are one thing, moms on the run, are another one! If you love prints, wear them as well, I like them a lot too, but plaid trousers with plaid shirt and plaid jacket is just too much. Match two different prints and you will be perfect.
• LA STAMPA TOTAL LOOK, ho capito che sei sempre di corsa e che aprire l’armadio e trovare tutte cose della stessa fantasia sia facilissimo anche al buio, ma la stampa total look mi sembra un tantino esagerata. Passi che Prada ne ha riempite le passerelle, ma le modelle che sfilano sono una cosa, le mamme di corsa, proprio un’altra!! Se ami le stampe, indossale pure, anche a me piacciono un sacco, ma pantaloni a quadri con camicia a quadri e giacca a quadri è davvero troppo. Abbinane due diverse e sarai perfetta.

DAUGHTER
(for those who, like Fiammetta, have a mother always in a hurry and need practicality without forgetting the “sparkle”-  per chi, come Fiammetta, ha una mamma di corsa ed ha bisogno di praticità senza dimenticare il “luccichio” )

YES TO:

• THE TULLE SKIRT,  I know it may not seem like the ultimate in comfort, but, as a former dancer, I  have always adored it and still today, that is all the rage, I find it beautiful. With a simple t-shirt, a sweater and the sneakers it is always perfect, believe me! Maybe not to go to kindergarten, but for the rest, it is really cool always.
• LA GONNA DI TULLE  lo so che può non sembrarti il massimo della comodità, ma, da ex ballerina, io l’ho sempre adorata e ancora oggi, che è di gran moda, la trovo meravigliosa. Con una t-shirt pulita, una maglioncino e le sneakers è perfetta sempre, credimi! Magari non proprio per andare all’asilo, ma per il resto è davvero fantastica sempre.

• THE PARKA, it’s time to buy it, if you wait a little longer you will not find the size! As an alternative to down jacket  I find it comfortable, practical, sporty and suitable for everyday use. There are a lot around, classic and evergreen the one  Woolrich’s.
• IL PARKA, è arrivato il momento di acquistarlo, se aspetti ancora un pò non troverai più la taglia!!! Come alternativa al piumino lo trovo un capo comodo, pratico, sportivo ed adatto per tutti i giorni. Ce ne sono tantissimi in giro, classico ed evergreen quello della Woolrich.

• THE GLITTER LACED SHOES, yes, I admit it, I like them to die also for the children! I know that maybe they are not the greatest of ease, but who has to run are us moms, right? So, go ahead  with a fantastic pair of sparkly laced shoes, there is something for all tastes, super chic those Miss Blumarine’s.
• LE STRINGATE GLITTER, ebbene sì, lo ammetto, mi piacciono da morire anche per i bambini!! Lo so che forse non sono il massimo della praticità, ma chi deve correre siamo noi mamme, giusto?? Quindi, vai con un fantastico paio di stringate luccicanti, ce ne sono per tutti i gusti, super chic quelle di Miss Blumarine.

NO TO:

• THE FUR, really NO! Come on, if you please. I’ve seen mothers who, with a satisfied air, stop in front of the windows that cleverly show pelts and furs for tiny beings, come in, take up one (perhaps in cream – can you imagine, then, the disaster in the hour snack from the ice cream man), caress lovingly and buy it an almost triumphant. Next time, please, with the same passion, buy her a cat. Not only it is not comfortable and practical, but it is not really suitable for our young explorers of the world.
• LA PELLICCIA, davvero NO!! Dai, su, non scherziamo. Ne ho viste di mamme che, con aria soddisfatta, si fermano davanti alle vetrine che sfoggiano abilmente pellicce e pelliccette per minuscoli esseri, entrano, ne prendono in mano una (magari in color crema – te lo immagini, poi, il disastro all’ora della merenda dal gelataio), la accarezzano amabilmente e la acquistano in maniera quasi trionfale. La prossima volta, ti prego, con la stessa passione, comprale un gatto. Non solo non sono comode e pratiche, ma non sono proprio adatte ai nostri piccoli esploratori del mondo.

• SHOES WITH WEDGE, although very famous brands have presented them and matched them proudly with delicious dresses and with minimal coats, I think, deeply, that they are, nor elegant, nor visibly pleasing, nor, even less, suitable for girls. They are a misguided attempt of the mothers to initialize the creatures to heels. Believe me, do not even temp! The heels, in all their variants (including wedges) are not for children, in spite of famous wives and slaves of fashion! Ok???
• LE SCARPE  CON LA ZEPPA anche se brand altisonanti le hanno presentate ed abbinate orgogliosamente a vestitini deliziosi e cappottini minimali credo, profondamente, che non siano, nè eleganti, nè visibilmente piacevoli, nè, tantomeno, adatte a delle bambine. Sono un maldestro tentativo delle mamme di iniziare le creature al tacco. Credimi, non tentare neanche!! I tacchi, in tutte le loro varianti (comprese le zeppe) non sono per i bambini, alla faccia di mogli famose e star schiave della moda! Ci siamo capite??

• THE KIND CHANEL JACKETS, unless your daughter has fifteen years, and then she can safely go to buy them alone, do not load the wardrobe of your little girl with these jackets filled with buttons and applications that, most of the time, are in highly flammable materials …… some have golden threads that pop up everywhere, to which, if you do not have resisted, you can think to attack her pacifiers! They not really comfortable and even warm. Mums in a hurry, also, do not have time to put and close them properly … 😉
• LE GIACCHINE TIPO CHANEL, a meno che tua figlia non abbia quindici anni, e allora può tranquillamente andare a comprarsele da sola, non caricare l’armadio della tua bambina con queste giacchine piene di bottoni e applicazioni che, la maggior parte delle volte, sono in materiali altamente infiammabili……alcune hanno anche fili dorati che spuntano ovunque, ai quali, se proprio non hai resistito, puoi pensare di attaccare i suoi ciucci! Non sono proprio comode e nemmeno calde. Le mamme di corsa, inoltre, non hanno il tempo per infilarle e chiuderle correttamente… 😉

SON
(for those who, like the sister, have a mother always in a hurry and need practicality without forgetting the “modernity”-  per chi, come la sorella, ha una mamma di corsa ed ha bisogno di praticità senza dimenticare la “modernità” )

YES TO: 

• THE THICK WOOL SWEATERS, also drawn and colored. They are beautiful, super fashion and also easyl and comfortable. If your child does not have any particular trouble, you can think of buying one also turtleneck. They are perfect with colorful shirts and cargo pants, or simply with jeans and sneakers. Keep warm, wash well and until it reaches the cold of winter, replace the jacket or the coat.
• I MAGLIONI IN LANA GROSSA, anche disegnati e colorati. Sono bellissimi, super fashion e anche pratici e comodi. Se il tuo bambino non ha particolari fastidi, puoi pensare di acquistarne uno anche a collo alto. Sono perfetti con camicie colorate e cargo pants, o, semplicemente, con jeans e sneakers. Tengono caldo, si lavano bene e finchè non arriva il freddo dell’inverno, sostituiscono la giacca o il cappotto.

• THE VELVET PANTS, will be a little classic, I know, but, if matched in the right way, they continue to be my liking. They are also comfortable and, placed upside down and with low spin, can be washed in the washing machine at 30°. Fantastic in teal color, wearing STRICTLY with sneakers, maybe high sneaker.
• I PANTALONI DI VELLUTO, saranno un pò classici, lo so, ma abbianati bene continuano a piacermi un sacco. Sono anche comodi e, messi al rovescio e con centrifuga bassa, si possono lavare anche in lavatrice a 30°. Fantastici verde petrolio, da portare RIGOROSAMENTE con le sneakers, magari alte.

• THE MONTGOMERY, I find it great for boys! The down jacket is very comfortable, I know, but if you try an alternative, always easy to match and to be worn every day, the Montgomery is right for you. He ‘s back in fashion and will be it for a while … Beautiful those of wool of Petit Bateau fully lined with sheepskin.
• IL MONTGOMERY, lo trovo bellissimo per i maschi! Il piumino è comodissimo, lo so, ma se cerchi un’alternativa, sempre facile da abbinare e da portare tutti i giorni, il Montgomery è quello che fa per te. E’ tornato di gran moda e lo sarà per molto… Belli quelli di lana della Petit Bateau interamente foderato di montone.

NO TO:

• THE UGG (the classic ones, I mean), FOR MALE! NOOOOOOOOO … I know that many mothers or women whose partners proudly wear them, will hate me, but I cannot resist, I do NOT like them. Especially for children (male, of course). They are warm and practical, it is true … but find an alternative boot that has the same features and keep that model for the sister or for  yourself. A Timberland (or similar) will be fine.
• GLI UGG (i classici, intendo), DA MASHIO!!! NOOOOOOOOO… lo so che molte mamme o donne i cui compagni li sfoggiano orgogliosamente mi odieranno, ma è più forte di me, NON mi piacciono. Specialmente per i bambini (maschi, ovviamente). Sono caldi e pratici, è vero…ma trovate uno stivale alternativo che abbia le stesse caratteristiche e lasciate quel modello per la sorella o per te stessa. Una Timberland (o simili) andrà benissimo.

• THE TIE, I’m not crazy about it, even about one designed on the t-shirts, but, anyway…. when I see those little creatures attend baptisms or weddings with tight knot at the neck, just can not help myself! The elegance is fine and, at times, it is forced, but let your husband wear the tie (and even he, listen well, complains, exactly five minutes after the beginning of cerimony …). Not replace it with the bow tie, it’s even worse!!
• LA CRAVATTA, non mi fa impazzire nemmeno quella disegnata sulle magliette, ma tanto tanto…. quando vedo quelle piccole creature presenziare a battesimi o matrimoni con tanto di nodo stretto al collo, proprio non riesco a trattenermi!! L’eleganza va benissimo ed, a volte, è forzata, ma la cravatta lasciala a tuo marito (e anche lui, ascoltalo bene, se ne lamenta dopo cinque minuti esatti dall’inizio della cerimonia…). Non la sostituire con il papillon, è anche peggio!!

• THE PLAID PANTS even if the “plaid” is all the rage, let’s not exaggerate .. the plaid pants (for males) are not suitable. Not practical and not for all occasions. The shirts will be fine (plaid, I mean), to be worn with t-shirt underneath and thick wool cardigan over,  jeans or military pants and, as always, the essential sneakers.
• I PANTALONI A FANTASIA SCOZZESE anche se questa fantasia è di gran moda, cerchiamo di non esagerare.. i pantaloni scozzesi (per i maschi) non sono adatti. Tantomeno pratici e per a tutte le occasioni. Andranno benissimo le camicie (scozzesi, intendo), da indossare con t-shirt sotto e cardigan in lana grossa sopra, jeans o pantaloni militari e, come sempre, le irrinunciabili sneakers.

One last tip for ALL: IT IS A BUSY LIFE, I should know, BUT DO NOT FORGET THEM!!
They are our children, our life, our joy. They need us, our time, our love!

Un ultimo consiglio per TUTTI: E’ UNA VITA FRENETICA, io lo so bene, MA NON DIMENTICHIAMOCI DI LORO!!!! Sono i nostri bambini, la nostra vita, la nostra gioia. Hanno bisogno di noi, del nostro tempo, del nostro amore!
