(for who, like me, loves Christmas, but do not want to sound like a decoration) – per chi, come me, adora il Natale, ma non vuole sembrare una decorazione)

THE BLACK LACE, is always very stylish, elegant and I find it very suitable for Christmas time … a black lace dress, perhaps mixed with the leather, not only should definitely be in your wardrobe, but must, of necessity, be pulled out at this time of the year and not just for the last day of this year.

IL PIZZO NERO, è sempre di gran moda, elegante e lo trovo adattissimo per le feste natalizie…un abito di pizzo nero, magari mescolato con la pelle non solo dovrebbe assolutamente stare nel tuo armadio, ma deve, per forza, essere tirato fuori in questo momento dell’anno e non solo per l’ultimo giorno di questo anno!

THE FUR HAT, as the fur, in all its versions (even on the shoes), has been already seen, appreciated and assimilated and even hated, I think it’s time to put it on your head and you will be perfect for this Christmas time, without overdoing it and indulging a whim that I find very nice. You can find these hats everywhere, even to the markets and the colored ones are really beautiful. What are you waiting for? IL CAPPELLO DI PELLICCIA, visto che la pelliccia, in tutte le sue versione (perfino sulle scarpe), l’abbiamo ormai vista, apprezzata, assimilata ed anche odiata, penso che sia arrivato il momento di mettertela in testa e sarai perfetta per questo periodo natalizio, senza strafare e concedentoti uno sfizio che io trovo simpaticissimo. Questi cappelli li trovi ovunque, anche ai mercatini e sono bellissimi quelli colorati. Che aspetti?? Ah, ricordati di toglierla quando entri in qualsiasi posto che sia chiuso, o l’effetto decorazione sarà dietro l’angolo…
- THE GOLD SKIRT, I’ve seen some beautiful around and, I confess, I gave myself to that of MSGM. I can not wait to wear it with a pair of heavy black tights, a pair of black suede decollete and a simple top (black too). It will be Christmas, but it will not be too much!.
- LA GONNA ORO, ne ho viste di bellissime in giro e, confesso, ho ceduto anch’io a quella di MSGM. Non vedo l’ora di indossarla con un paio di calze nere pesantissime, un paio di decollete di camoscio nere ed un semplice top (nero anche questo). Sarà Natale senza esagerare!!!
NO TO:
- THE ARABESQUES , I already found them exaggerated in September, now it just does not seem the case. The “foliage” effect ” will make you seem the package of the gifts and we want, definitely, to avoid this … is not it?! If you really like it or if you have already purchased it, only use it for the last year if you are invited to a special party, for the rest, I would avoid to see you around dressed up as a model of Versace of some years ago …. ok??
- GLI ARABESCHI, già li trovavo esagerati a settembre, adesso proprio non mi sembra il caso. L’effetto “ramage” ti farà sembrare l’involucro dei pacchetti regalo e noi vogliamo assolutamente evitare questo…vero??!! Se proprio ti piace o lo hai già acquistato usalo solo per l’ultimo dell’anno se sei invitata ad una festa speciale, per il resto, vorrei evitare di vederti in giro vestita come una modella di Versace di qualche anno fa….ok??

THE POM POMS, attached to clothes, or to socks (oh dearrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr to socks)!! Listen to me, take these pom poms (white, red, colored, whatever), look them good and attack them without hesitation to your beautiful Christmas tree. Understand? You no longer have thirteen years (in case you can skip to the next section – daughter). If you really want something you dangling from the sleeves or from the socks, buy a nice scarf and a skirt with fringe (although I would have something to say even on this one)!).

I PON PON, attaccati ai vestiti, o alle calze (oh mammaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa alle calze)!!!! Ascolta me, prendi questi pon pon (bianchi , rossi, colorati, come vuoi), guardali bene e attaccali senza esitare al tuo bellissimo albero di Natale. Ci siamo capite? Non hai più tredici anni (in caso contrario passa alla sezione successiva – figlia). Se proprio vuoi qualcosa che ti penzola dalle maniche o dai polpacci compra una bella sciarpa ed una gonna con le frange (anche se avrei qualcosa da ridire anche su questa)!!

THE EXAGGERATED ACCESSORIES, for this Christmas time, in which everything is glitz excess, keep your ornaments sober and exaggerate only with the dress. I really like the accessories, very much, and even those flashy, but I think this is the right time of the year to put them aside and let ” to glitter” only our cities. I know that someone will not like it, but take out your eternal pearl necklace and, for Christmas, you will be perfect.

GLI ACCESSORI ESAGERATI, solo per questo periodo natalizio, in cui tutto è sfarzo all’eccesso, tu tieni sobri i tuoi ornamenti ed esagera solo con il vestito. A me piacciono molto gli accessori, moltissimo, ed anche quelli vistosi, ma credo che questo sia il periodo giusto dell’anno per metterli da parte e lasciare “sbrilluccicare” solo le nostre città. So che a qualcuno questo non piacerà, ma tira fuori la tua eterna collana di perle e, per Natale, sarai perfetta.
DAUGHTER
(for those who, as Fiammetta, wants to be in keeping with the Christmas spirit, without losing sight of the real meaning of it- per chi, come Fiammetta, vuole essere in armonia con il clima natalizio, senza perderne di vista il vero significato)
YES TO:
- THE WHITE, is, in my opinion, the real color of Christmas. In recent months I have repeated to exhaustion of daring with color, mix them all together, to give in to fantasy and preferably in contrast, here, now, forget, for a few days, of this. A white dress, a white velvet pants, a white sweater, will make the Christmas of your dayghter and she will be super chic and in perfect harmony with the most intimate part of this period. After all we’re talking about “White Christams”!!!!
- IL BIANCO, è, secondo me, il vero colore del Natale. In questi mesi ti ho ripetuto fino allo sfinimento di osare con il colore, di mischiarli tutti insieme, di cedere alle fantasie e meglio se in contrasto, ecco, adesso, scordati, per qualche giorno, di tutto questo. Un vestitino bianco, un pantalone bianco di velluto, un maglioncino bianco, faranno il Natale della tua bambina e lei sarà super chic ed in perfetta armonia con la parte più intima di questo periodo. Del resto è di “Bianco Natal” che stiamo parlando!!!
- THE BALLOON SKIRT, perhaps with tulle underneath … I find it perfect for this period and you can find plenty around. Your daughter will be stylish, elegant and not “off topic”. With a nice pair of wool colored tights an the boots, also, you can take her anywhere!
- LA GONNA A PALLONCINO, magari con il tulle sotto…la trovo perfetta per questo periodo e ne puoi trovare tantissime in giro. La tua bambina sarà alla moda, elegante e non “fuori tema”. Con un bel paio di calze di lana colorate ed uno stivaletto, inoltre, potrai portarla ovunque!!!
- THE WOOL HAT, cutest, gorgeous, colorful that you can find around! It ‘s the right time to buy at least a couple of them… I love them, and with a blue down jacket, I match them as I want! If you find one with the bows (even larger than hat), do not hesitate, your little girl will be perfect and she will never be exaggerated, children can wear any sort of hat and be wonderful, unlike someone else, do you understand??
- IL CAPPELLO DI LANA, più simpatico, sfarzoso, colorato che trovi in giro!! E’ il momento adatto di acquistarne almeno un paio…io li adoro e, con un piumino blu, li abbino come voglio!! Se lo trovi con i fiocchi (anche più grandi del cappello), non esitare, la tua bambina sarà perfetta e non sarà mai esagerata, i bambini possono indossare qualsiasi cappello ed essere meravigliosi, a differenza di qualcun altro, ci siamo capite?????
NO TO:
- THE SAME DRESS OF THE MOTHER, listen to me, FORGET IT!! The “like mother, like daughter,” applies to behavioral issues, to attitudes, not for clothes, not even for Christmas!! Wearing the same dress as your daughter means, without a doubt, that one of the two must remain housebound. Wear what you like and dress up your little girl as a child. Ok?? Please … if you can not resist, go for the same shoes, I’ll give you that, unless you do not decide to wear heels.
- LO STESSO VESTITO DELLA MAMMA, ascoltami bene, LASCIA STARE!!!! Il “tale madre, tale figlia”, vale per le questioni comportamentali, per gli atteggiamenti, non per i vestiti, nemmeno per le feste natalizie!!!! Indossare lo stesso vestito di tua figlia significa, senza ombra di dubbio, che una delle due deve rimanere chiusa in casa. Indossa quello che più ti piace e vesti la tua bambina per l’età che ha. Ok??? Ti prego…se proprio non resisti, vada per le stesse scarpe, quelle te le concedo, purchè tu non decida di indossare i tacchi.

THE SEQUINS ON THE HEAD, I’ve seen everything around in this time of pomp and shine, but I can not imagine your little girl decked out like the Christmas tree in the sense that, to her, you put the lights directly on the head! I like the sequins, absolutely, but put the bows, the headbands and the crowns to the barbie. Come on, at least for Christmas, some respect! Yes to velvet and to small glittering hair grips.

LE PAILETTES IN TESTA, ne ho viste di tutti i colori in giro in questo periodo di sfarzo e di lucentezze, ma non riesco ad immaginare la tua bambina addobbata come l’albero, nel senso che, a lei, le lucine le metti direttamente in testa!! Mi piacciono le paillettes, assolutamente, ma fiocchi, cerchietti e coroncine mettile alle barbie. Dai, su, almeno per Natale, un pò di rispetto!!! Sì al velluto ed alle piccole mollettine luccicanti.

I MANICOTTI DI LANA, sono di gran moda e li hai visti ovunque, lo so, lo so, ma pensaci bene, sta arrivando il freddo siberiano, sicura di voler lasciare a tua figlia mezzo braccio nudo, solo per farla essere alla moda?? Io non credo. E non mi dirai, nemmeno, che li userai con sotto una maglietta??!! No, ti prego. I manicotti vanno senza niente sotto, ma il rischio bronchite è dietro l’angolo. Comprali per te e lancia la nuova moda “la pelle d’oca sta bene con tutto”.

THE BLUE SHIRT, I’ll fully endorse it at this time of year! With a pair of jeans and a nice colorful sweater, it is the valid (and the only) alternative to the ceremony held by that I’m sure you pulled out for these Christmas holidays. Put it back in the closet, a nice blue shirt will look all by itself and will be more than enough!!

LA CAMICIA CELESTE, te la approvo pienamente in questo periodo dell’anno!! Con un paio di jeans ed un bel maglione pesante e colorato, è la valida (e unica) alternativa all tenuta da cerimonia che sono sicura avrai tirato fuori per queste feste natalizie. Rimettila nell’armadio, una bella camicia celeste farà il look tutta da sola e sarà più che sufficiente!!

THE SNEAKERS WITH FUR INSIDE, hey, wait to scare ….. believe me, they are really beautiful and well adapted to the cold and to the Christmas time. What other shoes you mean putting on your child for Christmas? The patent leather loafer? A white fur that comes out of the shoe, is a touch of class and, with his little blu shirt, your son, for Christmas, it will be perfect!

LE SNEAKERS CON LA PELLICCIA DENTRO, ehi, aspetta a spaventarti…..credimi, sono davvero bellissime ed anche adatte al freddo ed al periodo natalizio. Quali altre scarpe intendevi mettere a tuo figlio per Natale?? I mocassini di vernice?? Una pelliccetta bianca che sbuca dalla scarpa, è proprio un tocco di classe e con la sua camicina celeste, il tuo bambino, per Natale, sarà perfetto!!

THE SUIT, jacket and pants, I mean. Remembers that we are dealing with children and they, I’m sure, would not choose, if they could, to dress the suit, even for the holidays! There is an easy way to dress them well and I know you will find it regardless of my advice and regardless to “little man” suit! When your child will be sixteen, talk to him about that! Before then, limit to a fine velvet trouser, a blazer and a shirt (NOT TOGHETER, though, ok?)

IL COMPLETO giacca e pantaloni, intendo. Ricorda che abbiamo a che fare con dei bambini e che loro, sono sicura, non sceglierebbero mai, se potessero, di vestirsi così, nemmeno per le feste!! Il modo di vestirli bene c’è e so che lo troverai a prescindere dai miei consigli e dai completi da “piccolo uomo”!! Quando il tuo bambino avrà sedici anni, riparlane con lui!!! Prima di allora limitati ad un bel pantalone di velluto, ad una giacca sportiva e ad una camicia (NON INSIEME, però, ok??).

THE BOW TIE OR THE NECKTIE, or any other gadget like that you can think of dressing your child with, in this holiday time! IL PAPILLON O LA CRAVATTA, o qualsiasi altro ammennicolo del genere ti venga in mente di mettere a tuo figlio in questo periodo di feste!! Non sono adatti ai più piccoli nemmeno per i matrimoni, figuriamoci per Natale!! Lascialo comodo e fallo sentire a proprio agio sempre. Non vorrai, per caso, che venga deriso da tutti gli altri bambini con cui si troverà a scambiarsi i regali, vero?? Evita che succeda e pensa se ti facessero indossare, per Natale, un bel pagliaccetto con le barchette disegnate. E’ la stessa identica cosa!!!

THE GLITTER SNEAKERS, yes, I’ve seen them for males, believe me! Although I adore them for girls and for me (I just bought a pair;-)), I find it unsuitable, ridiculous and exaggerated for males. Carefully avoid, unless your child has been chosen to be part of the group of the Living Nativity. In that case run to buy!

LE SNEAKER GLITTER, sì, le ho viste anche per i maschi, credimi!! Benchè io le adori per le bambine ed anche per me (ne ho appena acquistate un paio 😉 ), le trovo inadatte, ridicole ed esagerate per i maschi. Evitare accuratamente, a meno che tuo figlio non sia stato scelto per far parte del gruppo del Presepe Vivente. In quel caso corri ad acquistarle!!
One last tip for ALL: IT IS CHRISTMAS, A MAGIC TIME, and you, REDISCOVER THIS MAGIC IN THE FAMILY, that’s the only thing that matters, that keeps you alive and that NEVER GOES OUT OF FASHION!! !!
Un ultimo consiglio per TUTTI: E’ NATALE, UN PERIODO MAGICO, e tu, questa magia, RITROVALA IN FAMIGLIA, quella è l’unica cosa che conta, che ti tiene in vita e che non PASSERA’ MAI DI MODA!!!!!
