MOTHER
(for those who, like me, s FINALLY on holiday and would like to relax and enjoy the place without having to attend a “grim” expressions of relaxation … 😉 ) – per chi, come me, è FINALMENTE in vacanza e vorrebbe rilassarsi e godere del luogo, senza dovere assistere a “truci” espressioni di rilassamento… 😉 )
YES TO:

THE JUMPSUIT, I find it beautiful and elegant in every occasion. Short jumpsuit with super flat flip-flop for the day and long jumpsuit with wedges or sandals with heels for the evening. Opt for the simple ones and make them more beautiful with flashy and luxurious jewerly. If you’re not at sea, you can finde also the sporty ones to be matched with the sneakers and also to wear even at the mountains or on the road to discover some wonderful city.

LA TUTA, la trovo bellissima ed elegantissima in ogni occasione. Corta con infradito super flat per il giorno e lunga con zeppe o sandali con tacco per la sera. Opta per quelle semplicissime ed abbelliscile con gioielli anche vistosi e sfarzosi. Sarai la più chic. Se non sei al mare, ne trovi anche di sportive da abbinare con le sneakers e da portare anche in montagna o in viaggio alla scoperta di qualche meravigliosa città.
- THE BIKINI WITH RUFFLE, it is so fashionable. Better if bandeau bikini. You can find them really everywhere and for every taste. From solid colors to floral prints or camouflage. The ruffles give femininity and up to a size … ;-). Wonderful with a mesh MAXI PULL and espadrilles. Chic, feminine, not foregone.
- IL COSTUME CON LE ROUCHES, è proprio l’ultima moda. Meglio se a fascia. Ne trovi davvero ovunque e per ogni gusto. Dalle tinte unite, alle stampe floreali o camouflage. Le rouches donano femminilità ed aumentano di una taglia… ;-). Meravigliosi con un MAXI PULL a rete e le espadrillas. Chic, femminili, non scontate.

THE HIPPIE STYLE, which, LISTEN WELL, does not mean sloppy. It just means be inspired by a specific style and try to bring it in their own world and to your personal taste. What I prefer in this style is the classic dress with crochet bodice and printed skirt (I prefer the flowers). I’ve seen quite a few around and I must say that I really like! To be matched with “close to the ground” sandal, big bag and straw hat. You’ll be perfect for the whole summer … 😉

LO STILE HIPPIE, che, ASCOLTA BENE, non significa trasandata. Significa solamente ispirarsi ad uno stile ben preciso e cercare di portarlo nel proprio mondo e verso il proprio gusto personale. Quello che preferisco io di questo stile è il classico vestitino con corpetto crochet e gonna stampata (meglio a fiori). Ne ho visti diversi in giro e devo dire che mi piacciono tantissimo!!! Da abbinare con sandalino raso terra, maxi borsa e cappello di paglia. Sarai perfetta per tutta l’estate… 😉
NO TO:
- THE SHIRT TIED ABOVE THE NAVEL, NO for the sea, NO for the mountain, NO for a tour in the cities, NO to travel without borders, YES TO STAY AT HOME watching TV. Come on, take it easy, it is that we have enought of that!!! Stop with shirts tied to discover the navel, the last time it was bearable was when I was sixteen, and believe me, it’s been a while! If you want to see your incredible and wonderful belly button that you have just you and nobody else, wait till you get to the sea, and there, really amazing, you can do so freely and without being just out of place!!
- LA CAMICIA LEGATA SOPRA L’OMBELICO, NO per il mare, NO per la montagna, NO per un giro nelle città, NO per viaggi senza frontiere, SI PER STARE A CASA TUA a guardare la TV. Dai, su, non te la prendere, è che non se ne può più!!! Basta camice legate a scoprire l’ombelico, l’ultima volta che era sopportabile era quando avevo sedici anni e, credimi, è passato un pò di tempo!! Se vuoi far vedere il tuo incredibile e meraviglioso ombelico che hai solo tu e nessun altro, aspetta di arrivare al mare e lì, incredibile davvero, potrai farlo in piena libertà e senza essere appena fuori luogo!!
- THE TOO SHORT SHORTS, maybe leopard or fluo ….. Come on, do not make that face, I really saw them around. And, believe me, unless you do not have sixteen years (in which case, take a look at the part dedicated to the daughter on this section), you are, wherever you have decided to spend your holidays (including the deserted island), slightly out of place. Hurrah fashion and fit moms, but always with an eye on elegance and sobriety. The shorts are fine, but do not overdo it! A decent lenght and a neutral shade will be perfect. Ah, maybe if you do not carry them with boots over the knee and heel 16………
- GLI SHORTS TROPPO CORTI, magari leopardati o fluo….. dai, non fare quella faccia, li ho visti davvero in giro. E, credimi, a meno che tu non abbia sedici anni (in qual caso guarda la parte dedicata alla figlia di questa rubrica), sarai, ovunque tu abbia deciso di trascorrere le tue vacanze (compresa l’isola deserta) leggermente fuori luogo. W le mamme curate ed in forma, ma sempre con un occhio all’eleganza ed alla sobrietà. Gli shorts vanno bene, ma non esagerare!! Una lunghezza decente ed una tonalità neutra saranno perfetti. Ah, magari se non li porti con stivali sopra al ginocchio e con tacco 16…..
- THE STRAW, for this summer 2013 let’s change fabric, okay? I’ll give you only the straw hat (which has no age and is always super chic), but NO to bags, shoes, various sundries. No more straw, is not it? Opt for plastic bags cheerful and fun, wooden clogs and details in rubber. What do you say? I would say that we can opt for this new turning point… 😉
- LA PAGLIA, per questa estate 2013 cambiamo materiale, ok?? Ti concedo solamente il cappello di paglia (che non ha mai età ed è sempre super chic), ma BASTA borse, scarpe, ammennicoli vari. La paglia ci ha stancate, vero?? Opta per borse di plastica allegre e divertenti, zoccoli di legno e dettagli in caucciu’. Che ne dici?? Io direi che possiamo optare per questa svolta epocale… 😉
DAUGHTER
(for those who, like Fiammetta, was able, finally, to take us all on holiday and, honestly, she does not give a damn about how she is dressed. She just needs to be able to smile and offered herself to the sun, to the sea, to us that adore her – per chi, come Fiammetta, è riuscita, finalmente, a portarci tutti in vacanza e, onestamente, non le frega niente di come è vestita. Le basta poter sorridere ed offrirsi al sole, al mare, a noi che la adoriamo)
YES TO:
- THE LIGHT AND PRACTICAL DRESSES, easy to put in your suitcase without them having to be pressed on arrival and your daughter to wear for the entire holiday (even if you’re in the city, or at the the lake). Match them to sandals (flip flop if she can take them) for the day, with eyelets shoes for the afternoon and dancer in patent leather for the evening. The white ones are wonderful, but choose your color and printing that is most pleasing to your daughter
- I VESTITINI LEGGERI E PRATICI, da mettere facilmente in valigia senza che debbano essere stirati all’arrivo e da far indossare a tua figlia per tutta la vacanza (anche se sei in città, a al lago). Abbinali a sandalini (infradito se li porta) per il giorno, occhietto per il pomeriggio e ballerina in pelle lucida per la sera. Sono meravigliosi quelli bianchi, ma scegli pure il colore che preferisci e la stampa che più piace alla tua bambina.
- THE DENIM SHORTS, perfect for every trip, every new discovery, for each landscape to explore. Necessary in the mountains (with sneakers and t-shirt), perfect for the beach (with colored tank top and sandal), suitable also in the city (with dancers and printed blouse). Take them with you and you will not leave them in your suitcase!
- I PANTALONI CORTI DI JEANS, perfetti per ogni viaggio, per ogni nuova scoperta, per ogni paesaggio da esplorare. Necessari in montagna (con sneakers e t-shirt bianca), perfetti per il mare (con canottiera colorata e sandalino), adatti anche in città (con ballerine e blusa stampata). Portali con te e vedrai che non li lascerai in valigia!!!
- THE SCARF, I know I’ve repeated IT thirty times, but it’s not my fault if it is always in fashion and is also and always super comfortable?? So, I reiterate the point. Usefull for the day (as a bandana to cover the head from the sun), nice in the afternoon (to tie together with the hair to give a touch of femininity), necessary in the evening (around the neck or as a shawl for the sudden wind or for the air conditioning). I’ll leave you free choice for prints and materials, but if I can, the animal print one (perhaps with a flowered background and pink colors) will always be super fashion.
- IL FOULARD, lo so che te l’ho ripetuto ormai trenta volte, ma è colpa mia se è sempre di gran moda e ed è anche sempre super comodo??? Dunque, ribadisco il concetto. Utile per il giorno (da mettere in testa tipo bandana per riparare dal sole), carino il pomeriggio (da legare insieme ai capelli per dare un tocco di femminilità), necessario la sera (al collo o come scialle per il vento improvviso o l’aria condizionata). Ti lascio libera scelta per fantasia e fattura, ma, se posso, una stampa animalier (magari con sfondo a fiori e colori sul rosa) sarà sempre super fashion.
NO TO:
- THE “WITHOUT THE SUNSCREEN”, and with high protection! Your summer can not begin or continue without this accessory necessary and, above all, the most FASHIONABLE. Protect your child and, when she will grow up, she will only say thank you. I know you know it, but, please, do not get caught by fatigue and spread the sunscreen every time you’re under the sun. Ok?? Thanks.
- IL “SENZA CREMA”, e con protezione alta!!! La tua estate non può iniziare o continuare senza questo accessorio necessario e, fra tutti, il più ALLA MODA. Proteggi la tua bambina e, quando sarà grande, non potrà che ringraziarti. So che lo sai, ma, ti prego, non farti prendere dalla fatica e spalmala di crema ogni volta che sarete al sole. Ok??? Grazie.

THE CLOGS, those with the heel, I mean! And I would not say more, except that I’ve seen around girls get by with shoes like that and try, at every step, to stand. Come on, it’s summer …. let your child free to run and be happy! Ok?

GLI ZOCCOLI, quelli con il tacco, intendo!!! E non vorrei aggiungere altro, se non che ho visto in giro bambine barcamenarsi con scarpe del genere e cercare, ad ogni passo, di restare in piedi. Dai, su, è estate….lascia la tua bambina libera di correre e di essere felice!! Ok??
- THE LONG DRESSES, beautiful and stylish for you, uncomfortable and not suitable for your child. Maximum length for this summer: below the knee. She must be able to make every movement and to chasing you in the case you’ll want her to wear a long dress down to her feet! If you just can not resist and you bought it for your little girl, look for a dressmaker and let her make a hem.

I VESTITI LUNGHI, bellissimi ed alla moda per te, scomodi e non adatti per la tua bambina. Lunghezza massima per questa estate: sotto il ginocchio. Lei deve essere in grado di poter fare ogni movimento e di poterti rincorrere nel caso le vorrai far indossare un vestito lungo fino ai piedi!!! Se proprio non hai resistito e lo hai acquistato per la tua ragazza, cerca una sarta e falle fare un bell’orlo!!!
SON
(for those who, like her sister, is finally on holiday and do not want to know about fashion and matching. He prefers the freedom, you, keep the taste – per chi, come la sorella, è finalmente in vacanza e non vuole saperne di moda e di abbinamenti. Lui preferisce la libertà, tu, mantieni il buongusto. )

A NICE SANDAL, even for your baby boy, maybe the classic eyelets shoe. I love it and I think it is really suitable for all situations (from the sea to the mountains, from the city to an adventurous journey). To bring with him and to wear forever. Color: what you want, but I’d choose a clear and neutral shades.

UN BEL SANDALINO, anche per il tuo maschietto, magari il classico occhietto. Io lo adoro e mi sembra davvero adatto per tutte le situazioni (dal mare alla montagna, dalla città ad un viaggio avventuroso). Da portare con sè e da far indossare sempre. Colore: quello che vuoi, ma io mi terrei su una tonalità chiara e neutra.

THE DENIM SHIRT, hey you, boy’s mom, do you really think to leave for your holiday without putting in the suitcase an “evergreen” denim shirt?? No?? Ah, I thought ……. it is really a wildcard for every day! Suitable for the day in the mountains, for the afternoon everywhere and for the evening for the seaside. Needless to say, you find it everywhere and with khaki shorts and white sneakers (maybe even with a t-shirt underneath) it is really perfect. .

LA CAMICIA DI JEANS, ehi tu, mamma di maschio, davvero pensi di partire per le vacanze senza mettere in valigia una “sempre verde” camicia di jeans???? No??? Ah, credevo……. è davvero un jolly per tutti i giorni!! Adatta il giorno in montagna, il pomeriggio ovunque e la sera per le giornate al mare. Inutile dire che la trovi ovunque e che con bermuda cachi e sneakers bianche (magari anche con t-shirt bianca sotto) è davvero perfetta.

THE SUPER COLOURED SWIMSUIT, even printed (stripes check, flowers). It makes summer, fun and desire of sea! It will be useful also in the mountains for days in the sun by the pool.

IL COSTUME COLORATISSIMO, anche in fantasia (righe, quadri, fiori). Fa subito estate, divertimento e voglia di mare!!! Se lo prendi modello boxer lo potrai anche utilizzare la mattina per andare al mare con una polo o una t-shirt sopra, senza dover portare un paio di pantaloni in più. Sarà utile anche in montagna per le giornate al sole in piscina.

THE GYMSUIT, as unique garment for the holidays. We’re all tired, I definitely know it, but your baby deserves a little more effort. I’m not saying not to take it with you, it can always be useful, but use it with MODERATION and most importantly, NO to the “gymsuit” total look. Match the sweatpants with a polo shirt and the sweatshirt with cotton bermuda pants. So your boy will be comfortable, yet stylish and fashionable. Ok??

LA TUTA DA GINNASTICA, come unico capo per le vacanze. Siamo tutti stanchi, a chi lo dici??, ma uno sforzo in più lo merita il tuo bambino. Non dico di non portarla con te, può essere sempre utile, ma usala con MODERAZIONE e, soprattutto, NO al “tuta” total look. Abbina i pantaloni con una polo ed una camicia e la felpa con bermuda di cotone. Così il tuo maschietto sarà comodo, ma raffinato ed alla moda. Ok??

THE “NO SUNSCREEN”, that is the same talk made for the female. THE more CHIC GARMENT for summer 2013 is mainly the SUNSCREEN! Your baby deserves it and even his skin. I know you know it and I’ll not add much.

Il “SENZA CREMA”, vale lo stesso discorso fatto per la femmina. L’INDUIMENTO più CHIC per l’estate 2013 è soprattutto la CREMA SOLARE!! Il tuo bambino lo merita ed anche la sua pelle. So che lo sai e non aggiungo altro.

THE TANK, I know I’ve already said that, but you did not have heard me, so … NO TO TANK for the male. Not even to go swimming. Ok? There are millions of wonderful t-shirt, million of polo, million of other things. They all are fine, but no the tank tops, especially if matched with a baseball cap with the visor put on the contrary and plastic slippers. Is it clear? Come on ….. just a little effort … 😉

LA CANOTTIERA, so che te l’ho già detto, ma non mi hai ascoltato, quindi… NO ALLA CANOTTIERA per il maschio. Nemmeno per andare in piscina. Ok?? Ci sono milioni di t-shirt meravigliose, milioni di polo, milioni di altre cose. Vanno bene tutte, ma non le canottiere, specialmente se accompagnate da cappellini da baseball con visiera al contrario e ciabatte di plastica. Chiaro?? Dai, su….. basta un piccolo sforzo… 😉

One last tip for ALL: YOU ARE ON HOLIDAY, left behind EFFORTS and DISCONTENT and LEAVE with the DESIDE TO LAUGH, TO BE WITH YOUR KIDS, TO REJOICE WITH THEM, TO BE PART OF THEIR WORLD THAT IS A LITTLE SPECIAL. This will be very cool and very elegant!!!
Un ultimo consiglio per TUTTI: SEI IN VACANZA, lasciati alle spalle FATICHE e MALUMORI e PARTI con la VOGLIA DI RIDERE, DI STARE CON I TUOI BAMBINI, DI GIOIRE CON LORO, DI FAR PARTE DEL LORO MONDO UN PO’ SPECIALE. Questo sarà davvero alla moda e davvero elegante!!!
