FIAMMISAYS: YES AND NO of JUNE 2013 (THE PRE-VACATION TIME)

Here we are…. this is the TWELFTH appointment with my section “FIAMMISAYS” started on July 2012. For an introduction and brief description of my new “adventure”, take a look HERE (you can find there all the others appointments)

Eccoci… questo è il DODICESIMO appuntamento con la mia rubrica “FIAMMISAYS” partita a Luglio 2012. Per una introduzione e breve descrizione di questa mia nuova “avventura”, guarda QUI (ci puoi trovare tutti gli altri appuntamenti)

MOTHER

(for those who, like me, is really far from the vacation and, having to remain working even for a while, consoles herself with a pair of fashion look to take, then, even at the seaside)- per chi, come me, ancora di vacanza non ne sente nemmeno parlare e, dovendo rimanere a lavorare ancora per un pò, si consola con un paio di look fashion da portare, poi, anche al mare)

YES TO:

• THE DENIM,  never as in this summer, denim (in all its forms) will be the star of our look. Jeans, shirts, skirts, vests, trench coats and even sandals (I swear), all made by denim, they will be our basic garment in this June, that does not yet allow us fluttering dresses. I recommend a pair of boyfriend jeans that, although we have seen them wearing everybody, make you feel pampered and protected (at least to me they do this effect). This year, also, jeans accomplishes 140 years! What are we waiting to celebrate this garment that is essential in every wardrobe, with a new and super fashion purchase?? And when you’ll leave for the holidays, it will be the first thing to come into your suitcase.
• IL DENIM, mai come quest’estate il denim (in ogni sua declinazione) sarà protagonista dei nostri look. Jeans, magliette, gonne, gilet, trench ed anche sandali (giuro), tutti rigorosamente in denim, saranno i nostri capi base in questo giugno che non ancora non ci permette abitini svolazzanti. Raccomando un paio di boyfriend jeans che, anche se li abbiamo visti indosso a tutte, fanno sentire coccolate e protette (almeno a me fanno questo effetto). Quest’anno, inoltre, i jeans compiono 140 anni!!! Che aspettiamo a celebrare questo capo irrinunciabile in ogni guardaroba con un nuovo e super fashion acquisto???? E quando partirai per le vacanze, sarà la prima cosa ad entrare in valigia.

• THE LONG DRESS, maybe striped. Wonderful! I love long dresses, I’ve always loved them and this year I’m so happy to see them in the windows of each store. They are perfect for those who remain in the city like me and want to go out feeling already on holiday, without appearing ridiculous (as in inguinal shorts if you have more than twenty years). Flowered, in solid colors, checked (but you’d be back for the next season .. ;-)) and, most of all striped. I highly recommend the purchase. To be combined with espradillas or sneakers (no wedge) on the day and sandals (low-heeled) in the evening. With a leather jacket you’ll be really super trendy and this look is all to be proposed also on vacation.
• IL VESTITO LUNGO, magari a righe. Meraviglioso!! Io adoro i vestiti lunghi, mi sono sempre piaciuti e quest’anno sono super felice di vederli nelle vetrine di ogni negozio. Sono perfetti per chi rimane in città come me e vuole uscire sentendosi già in vacanza, senza apparire ridicola (vedi shorts inguinali se hai più di vent’anni). A fiori, tinta unita, a quadri (ma saresti già avanti per la prossima stagione..;-)) e, più di tutti, a righe. Ne consiglio vivamente l’acquisto. Da abbinare ad espradillas o sneakers (senza zeppa) il giorno ed a sandalini (tacco basso) la sera. Con un giubbotto di pelle sarai davvero super trendy e questo look è tutto da riproporre anche in vacanza.

• THE RUNNING SHOES, yes, you know those running shoes (to go to the gym) to which you would have approached just because you had to and because you could not afford yet another tallonitis after running again with the converse? Well, now the big brands have reproduced them in a glam version and everyone have become crazy. Then, go to buy a pair of colorful (even fluorescent) running shoes, to wear with jeans and long skirts. I confess, I love them with tight skirts to the knee .. ;-). To take with us on holiday for any type of look.
• LE RUNNING, ebbene sì, hai presente quelle scarpe da corsa (da palestra) alle quali ti saresti avvicinata solo perchè dovevi e perchè non potevi permetterti l’ennesima tallonite dopo aver corso ancora con le converse?? Ecco, adesso le grandi marche le hanno riproposte in versione glam e sono tutte impazzite. Allora via ad acquistare un paio di running coloratissima (anche fluo), da portare con jeans e gonne lunghe. Io, confesso, le adoro con le gonne strette al ginocchio..;-). Da portare con noi in vacanza per qualsiasi tipo di look.

NO TO:

• THE MIRRORED GLASSES, DO NOT RISE UP, COME ON…… I know that everybody has them, but really everybody, without exception, and I tell you, INDEED!! Don’t you want to stand out, do you?? Ok, if you want to be like all of them, then shows off happly your mirrored sunglasses, I just hope you do not have paid a fortune for them, because in a couple of hours they will not go out of fashion!
• GLI OCCHIALI SPECCHIATI, NON INSORGERE COSI’ DAI……lo so che ce li hanno tutte, ma proprio tutte tutte, nessuna esclusa e ti dico, APPUNTO!!! Non ti va di distinguerti, no eh??? Ok, se ti va di essere come tutte, allora sfoggia serena i tuoi occhiali a specchio, spero solo che tu non li abbia pagati una fortuna, perchè tra un paio d’ore non andranno più di moda!!!!

• THE FRINGED SHIRTS AND CROP TOPS, I know that we are in time of GRUNGE and thet the legendary nineties are to the fore, but I do not like  the T-shirts with all those fringes at the bottom. Ok for baggy jeans and ripped at the bottom, ok for the tartan, ok for the studs, but the “fraying” no really, okay? Nay, they can be perfect to go running or doing your favorite sport, then change and wear a shirt with the stitched hem ...;-) I do not even like the crop tops (they are top that discover the navel , practically shirts without the final part). Not even to go on holiday, let alone in the city. I want to clarify, I do not find them suitable for mothers, but for young girls and physically fit they are perfect. Everything is clear??
• LE MAGLIETTE SFRANGIATE ED I CROP TOPS, lo so che siamo in tempo di GRUNGE e che i mitici anni novanta sono alla ribalta, ma le magliette con tutte quelle frange in fondo, proprio non mi piacciono. Ok per i jeans larghi e stracciati in fondo, ok per il tartan, ok per le borchie, ma le “sfrangiature” no davvero, ok?? Oh meglio, per andare a correre o fare il tuo sport preferito, possono essere perfette, poi cambiati e indossa una maglietta con l’orlo fatto...;-) Non mi piacciono nemmeno i crop tops (i top che scoprono l’ombelico, praticamente magliette senza la parte finale). Nemmeno per partire per le vacanze, figuriamoci in città. Anche qui preciso, non li trovo adatti per noi mamme, ma per le ragazze giovani ed in forma sono perfetti. Tutto chiaro??

• THE WICKER WEDGES, and I apply to you, my dear designer super cool and super fashion (I omit her name, but someone will have figured out), where do you think we could go with a pair of 45 cm high wedges (I’m joking, but they seem endless) in WICKER?? Wicker, got it right. The wedges are to be matched carefully in order not seem excessive, can you imagine how to match the wicker? I have an idea, with a beautiful basket and a straw hat. To stay at home. Do not dare to think that would be right to go to the sea!! Ok??
• LE ZEPPE IN VIMINI, e mi rivolgo a te, mia cara designer super cool e super fashion (ometto il nome, ma qualcuno lo avrà capito lo stesso), dove pensi che potremmo andare con un paio di zeppe alte 45 cm (scherzo, ma sembrano infinite) in VIMINI??? In vimini, capito bene. Già di suo le zeppe sono da abbinare delicatamente per non sembrare eccessive, ti immagini come abbinare il vimini? Idea, con un bel cestino ed un cappello di paglia. Per stare a casa. Non ti azzardare a pensare che sarebbero giuste per andare sul mare!! Ok???

DAUGHTER

(for those who, like Fiammetta, is still quite a bit at the kindergarten, with style, and waits for her mom, who has to work, taking her to the sea –  per chi, come Fiammetta, sta ancora un bel pò all’asilo, con stile, ed aspetta che la sua mamma, che deve lavorare, la porti al mare.)

YES TO:

• THE SANDALS pre-vacation to get used to the air the foot of your child! You’ll find them around for all tastes and, after finding the quality of the shoe, let free your imagination. I’ve chosen for Fiammetta a piar of sandals in green with many cute little flowers on the wing that is around the foot. You can also use them for kindergarten if the band has a strap (so the teachers will put them easily) and will be perfect also, later, on holiday with light dresses and denim shorts.
• IL SANDALINO pre-vacanza per far abituare il piede della tua bambina all’aria! Ne troverai in giro per tutti i gusti e, dopo aver constatato la qualità della scarpa, libera la tua fantasia. Io ne ho scelti per Fiammetta un paio verdi con tanti simpatici fiorellini sulla fascia che sta intorno al piede. Li potrai utilizzare anche per l’asilo se la fascia è a strappo (così le maestre li metteranno facilmente) e saranno perfetti anche, dopo, in vacanza con vestitini leggeri e short di jeans.

• THE CHECK, also known as the checkered pattern. There are about six months I repeat it,IT IS ON  FASHION!!! and it will be even more next year. Trust me! A checkered dress or a nice blouse (still checkered) combined with flowers will make your child the most GLAM GRUNGE of the whole city! Do you think it is too far ahead? The next year you will be one of the many… 😉
• IL CHECK, detto anche la fantasia a quadri. Sono circa sei mesi che te lo ripeto, E’ DI GRAN MODA!!!!!!!!! e lo sarà ancora di più la prossima stagione. Fidati!!! Un vestitino a quadri o una bella camicetta (sempre a quadri) abbinati con i fiori faranno della tua bambina la più GRUNGE GLAM di tutta la città!! Ti sembra troppo avanti?? Il prossimo anno sarai una delle tante… ;-).

• THE CARDIGAN, V-neck and striped. To wear the whole month of June over any print and color, even for kindergarten and to immediately put in your suitcase for cool summer evenings and for something practical, lightweight, foldable for replacing  the classic jacket.
• IL CARDIGAN,  scollo a V ed a righe. Da portare tutto il mese di Giugno sopra qualsiasi stampa e colore, anche per l’asilo e da infilare subito in valigia per serate estive più fresche e per qualcosa di pratico, leggero, ripiegabile e che sostituisca il classico giubbottino.

NO TO:

• THE PLEATED, it is not that I do not like in absolute the pleated dress, but the month of the ceremony is almost over and I see no other viable opportunities to wear it. It is not practical in the city and it is also difficult to match with shoes and accessories, let alone to go to sea. A nice cute and colorful cover-ups will replace it perfectly.
• IL PLISSE’, non che non mi piaccia in assoluto il vestitino plissè, ma il mese della cerimonia è quasi finito e non vedo altre valide occasioni per indossarlo. Non è pratico in città ed è anche difficile da abbinare a scarpe ed accessori, figuriamoci per andare al mare. Un bel copricostume carino e colorato lo sostituirà perfettamente.

• THE FADED EFFECT, every brand has presented it, some more, some less, but, according to me me, it immediately gives the idea of ​​shabby and not well finished. Even when the children return from kindergarten (Fiammetta must remain there throughout June) seem to come from the first Punic War, if, then, they had some clothes (sweatshirts, shorts, jeans, shirts, T-shirts) with the faded effect, the result is really hopeless. Are not you tempted to throw away the whole thing directly? If you just can not resist, combines the garment with something chic and sophisticated and not send your daughter to kindergarten.
• L’EFFETTO SCOLORITO, lo hanno presentato un pò tutti, chi più, chi meno, ma a me dà subito l’idea del trasandato e del non curato. Già quando i bambini tornano dall’asilo (Fiammetta ci deve rimanere per tutto giugno) sembrano usciti dalla prima guerra punica, se, poi, avevano addosso qualcosa (felpe, shorts, jeans, camice, magliette) dall’effetto delavè, il risultato è davvero senza speranza. Non ti verrebbe voglia di buttare via direttamente il tutto?? Se proprio non puoi resistere, abbina il capo a qualcosa di chic e sofisticato e non mandare la tua bambina all’asilo.

• THE VEST, if then with sequined, I swear that I do not speak anymore with you. I find it a useless garment  for girls. Let’s think about it, what is it? It does not take warm, it doesn’t shelter from the wind, it doesn’t beautifies and does not make feminine (I precise that I like it, however, for males.) It is not also convenient to carry and it doesn’t leave free to move. They tried to make it more fashion with applications, drawings, sewn on candy, but the effect is even worst.
• IL GILET, se poi è di paillettes, giuro che non ti parlo più. Lo trovo un capo inutile per le bambine. Pensiamoci, a cosa serve?? Non tiene caldo, non ripara dal vento, non abbellisce e non rende femminili (preciso che mi piace, invece, per i maschi.) Non è, inoltre, pratico da portare e non lascia liberi i movimenti. Hanno provato a renderlo più fashion con applicazioni, disegni, caramelle cucite sopra, ma l’effetto è ancora peggio.

SON

(for those who, like her sister,  will stay playing in the kindergarten, but is already thinking, like his mother, at the the upcoming holiday approaching –  per chi, come la sorella, rimarrà a giocare all’asilo, ma già pensa, come la mamma, alle prossime vacanze che si avvicinano )

YES TO: 

• THE BERMUDA SHORTS, here it is the right time to start to show at the white legs of your baby a bit of sun! You can think of them wearing your boy for kindergarten, because I’ve seen some really cute, in light fleece, in low-cost  stores (I swear that I took them also for Fiammetta, they seemed really comfortable and practical). Combine them with a blue cotton jacket and a pair of sneakers and you have a really super cool baby! If you do not like the fleece, they are beautiful and suitable also in cotton, denim, linen. In short, pick the ones you like and do not forget to put them in your suitcase when you leave for the holidays!!
• I BERMUDA,  eccolo il momento giusto per iniziare a far vedere alle bianche gambine del tuo bambino un pò di sole!! Puoi pensare farli indossare al tuo ragazzo anche per l’asilo, perchè ne ho visti di veramente carini, in felpa leggera nelle catene low cost (giuro che li ho presi anche per Fiammetta, mi sono sembrati davvero comodi e pratici). Abbinali con una giacca in cotone blu ed un paio di sneakers alte ed avrai un maschietto davvero super cool!! Se non ti piacciono in felpa, bellissimi ed adatti anche quelli in cotone, in denim, in lino. Insomma, prendi quelli che più ti piacciono e non dimenticare di metterli in valigia quando partirai per le vacanze!!

• THE SWEATSHIRT, preferably colorful and funny. In the year of sweatshirts (for us women, for men, for girls, for dogs), even your boy has every right to own one and not just any. Not one that you already had in the closet (I wonder, in which male’s closet missing a sweatshirt?), but a new one, and listen well, WITHOUT HOOD. Better if it is a little baggy, colorful, funny and with the neck not finished. To be used with straight pants to turn-up in the bottom, with a T-shirt and with a semi open shoes (if your baby is still little) and a pair of boat shoes if he is bigger.
• LA FELPA,  meglio se colorata e divertente. Nell’anno delle felpe (per noi donne, per gli uomini, per le bambine, per i cani), anche il tuo maschietto ha tutto il diritto di possederne una e non una qualsiasi. Non una che avevi già nell’armadio (mi chiedo, in quale armadio di figlio maschio manca una felpa??), ma una tutta nuova e, ascolta bene, SENZA CAPPUCCIO. Meglio se un pò slargata, colorata, divertente e dal collo non rifinito. Da abbinare a  pantaloni dritti da rigirare in fondo, ad una maglietta e ad una scarpina semi aperta (se il tuo bambino è ancora piccolo) e ad un paio di scarpe da barca se ha qualche anno in più.

• THE SCARF, do not be afraid to make wear it to your baby, he will be just even more chic! Think to buy one or two of them to bring them in your holiday (they are really handy even when there are 40 degrees to keep his head in the shape and repair it from the harmful rays) and also for them to wear in the city. In the morning to go to kindergarten or summer camps choose one made ​​of cotton, not too colorful and not too big, it will be useful for the still present “spring” breezee. In the evening for some “worldly” out, the big ones, super colorful and in silk are perfect. They will give a sophisticatedtaste also at a super sporty look. Trust me!!!
• IL FOULARD,  non aver paura a farlo indossare la tuo bambino, sarà solo ancora più chic!! Pensa adesso ad acquistarne uno o due da portare da vacanza (fanno davvero molto comodo anche quando ci sono 40 gradi per tenere la testa all’ombra e ripararla dai raggi dannosi) e da fargli indossare anche in città. La mattina per andare all’asilo o ai campi estivi scegline uno in cotone, non troppo colorato e non troppo grande, gli sarà utile per le ancora presenti brezze “primaverili”. La sera per qualche uscita “mondana” sono perfetti quelli più grandi, super colorati e di seta. Daranno un aspetto sofisticato anche ad un look super sportivo. Fidati!!!

NO TO:

• THE PRINTED SHIRT, the one with Hawaiian- floral-painted over with everything prints, I mean. The prints are the fashion, I know, but for your child, a row or acheck will be more than enough. If you want to dare, do it with pants or with T-shirts, the look will be much more chic, the printed shirt makes, however, the tired (and fat) businessman on vacation effect… 😉. I do not like even to take to the sea, so, do not really think about it, okay?
• LA CAMICIA FANTASIA,  quella con stampa hawaiana-floreale- con tutto disegnato sopra, intendo. Le stampe sono la moda, lo so, ma per il tuo bambino, una riga o un quadretto saranno più che sufficienti. Se vuoi osare fallo con i pantaloni o con le magliette, il look risulterà molto più chic, la camicia stampata fa, invece, l’effetto stanco (e grasso) uomo d’affari in vacanza…;-). Non mi piace nemmeno da portare al mare, quindi non ci pensare proprio, ok??

• THE TRENCH, while I find it perfect for us moms and I do not mind it even for little girls, I do not like it for males. It seems to me that gives the appearance of small grown man and it doesn’t remind me that aspect of cheerful, practical and carefree that a baby should have. Replace it with the denim jacket, the parka, or a simple spory jacket. It is not easy even to take on holiday, try to remove it from the suitcase, after that it has been crammed inside for a few days and try to make your child wear it without having the iron on hand… 😉
• IL TRENCH, mentre lo trovo perfetto per noi mamme e non mi dispiace nemmeno per le bambine, non mi piace per i bambini. Mi sembra che dia l’aspetto del piccolo uomo cresciuto e non mi fa pensare a quell’aspetto allegro, pratico e spensierato che dovrebbe avere un bambino. Da sostituire con il giubbotto di jeans, il parka, o una semplice giacca sportiva. Non è comodo nemmeno da portare in vacanza, prova a toglierlo dalla valigia, dopo che ci è stato dentro stipato per qualche giorno e prova a farlo indossare al tuo bambino senza avere il ferro da stiro a portata di mano..;-)

• THE JEANS THAT ARE NOT RIPPED, okay? No dark, straight, single-color and all intact jeans!! In the moment in which we begin to breathe the air of the coming trends (there will be soon be PITTI BIMBO and I will confirm all the tendencies of the next year), such as grunge and punk, we can not pretend nothing happened and continue to buy “bon ton” jeans,  WE CAN NOT!! Go with a nice pair of cute, fresh and super cool light and ripped jeans. Your child will thank you and he will wear them also on holiday. Is everything clear??
• I JEANS CHE NON SIANO STRAPPATI,  ok?? Niente jeans scuri, dritti, monocolore e tutti integri!! Nel momento in cui iniziamo a respirare l’aria dei prossimi trend (tra poco ci sarà PITTI BIMBO e ti confermerò tutte le tendenze del prossimo anno), come il grunge ed del punk, non possiamo far finta di niente e continuare ad acquistare jeans “bon ton”, NON POSSIAMO!!! Vai con un bel paio di simpatici, freschi e super cool jeans chiari e strappati. Il tuo bambino ti ringrazierà e li vorrà con sè anche in vacanza. Tutto chiaro??

One last tip for ALL: Before you leave for vacation THINK ABOUT BUYING SOMETHING SMART that will make you really comfortable when you will leave for the holidays, whatever they are! PRACTICAL, LIGHT, EASY TO FOLD GARMENT, to be worn on in this month of JUNE  for the work, fot the kindergarten, or for summer camps. And, most of all, BUY SOMETHING THAT EVEN YOUR CHILD WILL LOVE and thet MAKE HIM FEEL FREE, AT EASE, IN HARMONY WITH THE WORLD.

Un ultimo consiglio per TUTTI: Prima di partire per le vacanze PENSA A QUALCHE ACQUISTO INTELLIGENTE che ti farà davvero comodo quando partirai per le vacanze, qualsiasi esse siano! COSE PRATICHE, LEGGERE, FACILMENTE RIPIEGABILI  da portare anche in questo mese di GIUGNO per il lavoro,  per l’asilo o per i campi estivi. E, più di tutto, ACQUISTA QUALCOSA CHE PIACCIA ANCHE AL TUO BAMBINO e che lo FACCIA SENTIRE LIBERO, A SUO AGIO, IN ARMONIA CON IL MONDO.
