FIAMMISAYS: YES AND NO of MARCH 2014 (ALMOST SPRING)

Eccoci… questo è il 17° appuntamento con la mia rubrica “FIAMMISAYS” partita a Luglio 2012. Per una introduzione e breve descrizione di questa mia nuova “avventura”, guarda QUI (ci puoi trovare tutti gli altri appuntamenti)

Here we are…. this is the 17° appointment with my section “FIAMMISAYS” started on July 2012. For an introduction and brief description of my new “adventure”, take a look HERE (you can find there all the others appointments)

MOTHER

(per chi, come me, non vede l’ora che arrivi questa Primavera in tutti i suoi colori – (for those who, like me, can not wait this Spring arrive in all its colors)

YES TO:

• LE STAMPE ARTISTICHE, quelle che fanno sembrare i nostri vestiti proprio come dei quadri. E allora SI’ a volti strani simil Picasso stampati sulle nostre felpe, sulle nostre magliette, sulle nostre gonne. Belle anche le stampe astratte dai colori caldi e mischiati e dai richiami ottocenteschi. Da abbinare ad accessori sobri e da portare sempre. Anche in pieno giorno. Fanno subito colore e Primavera.
• THE ARTISTIC PRINTS, those that make our clothes look just like the paintings. So….YES to strange faces like Picasso prints on our sweatshirts, on our t-shirts, on our skirts. So beautiful also abstract prints with warm and mixed colors with references to the nineteenth centuries. To be matched with sober accessories and to wear in every moment. Even in broad daylight. They make color and Spring.
  

• IL BOMBER, in tutti i colori e con tutte le stampe. Fiammetta lo ha portato per tutto l’inverno, all’inizio della stagione come giubbotto, poi anche al posto del maglioncino. Adesso è il mio turno e lo sto già cercando. Io opterei per i colori neutri, ma sicuramente in fantasia. Fiorito, magari. Da portare con i crop pants (di cui ti avevo già parlato nel FIAMMISAYS di OTTOBRE) e con una scarpa a punta. Una shopper ed un bel paio di orecchini grandi grandi. Carino di giorno quando il sole arriverà e comodo la sera, magari con una bella sciarpa di lana fino a quando non sarò arrivata del tutto la Primavera.
• THE JACKET WITH ZIP, in all colors and with all the prints. Fiammetta has worn hers throughout the winter, at the beginning of the season as a jacket, then also as a sweater. Now it’s my turn and I’m already looking for one. I would opt for neutral colors, but definitely with fantasy. Maybe flowered. To wear with crop pants (of which I have already spoken in OCTOBER’s FIAMMISAYS) and with toe shoes. A shopper and a beautiful pair of very big earrings. Cute during the day when the sun will come and comfortable in the evening, maybe with a nice wool scarf until the Spring will not be arrived.
  

• IL GIPSY STYLE, ovvero gonne lunghissime (non vi preoccupate per l’orlo, saranno più belle se stropicciate), ampi foulard al collo e collane vistosissime. E’ uno stile che mi piace un sacco, specialmente d’estate. E’ uno stile che sembra quasi trasandato o davvero easy, ma che nasconde una sofistica eleganza e che va adottato solo se si riesce a renderlo anche un po’ chic. Chi se la sente, avanti….è adesso il momento giusto!!! La Primavera 2014 è GIPSY!!!
• THE GIPSY STYLE, or long skirts (do not worry about the hem, will be more beautiful when crushed), wide scarves and very big necklaces. It ‘a style that I like a lot, especially in the summer. It ‘a style that seems sloppy or really easy, but it hides a sophisticated elegance and that is to be adopted only if you can make it even a little chic. Who feels it, come on …. it is now the right time! The Spring 2014 is GIPSY!
  

NO TO:

• LO SPORTY CHIC, nel senso di tutti quei capi presi direttamente dal mondo dello SPORT e fatti diventare, a forza, capi super chic. Calzettoni da tennis, canottiere da basket, costumi da campionati olimpici di nuoto, diventano, magicamente, capi irrinunciabili per essere super chic. Rimangono, invece, orrendi calzettoni da tennis, trasandate canottiere da basket, importabili costumi interi (anche se con pantaloni a vita altissima e due o tre giubbotti sopra). Essere chic è un’altra cosa davvero…
  
• THE SPORTY CHIC, in the sense of all those garments taken directly from the world of SPORT and made, by force, super chic pieces. Tennis socks, basketball tank tops, olympic swimming championships swimsuits, become magically essential garments to be super chic. They remain, however, horrendous tennis socks, sloppy basketball tank tops, not wearable swimsuits (although with high-waisted trousers and two or three jacket over them). Being chic is really something else…
  

• LA TUTA, adesso basta!! Ne abbiamo viste davvero in ogni versione possibile. Tinta unita, colorate, spezzate, doppia fantasia, doppio materiale. Adesso basta!! Le ho viste anche in denim. E non aggiungo altro. Se credi che non potrai farne a meno, prova a renderla originale legando un foulard in vita o mettendo sotto una camicia bianca e stretta stretta. Se ancora non l’hai acquistata, pensaci e opta per una pantalone ed una t-shirt tono su tono o della stessa fantasia. 
• THE JUMP SUIT, enough is enough! We’ve seen it eally in every possible version. In one tone, in two tone, colored, broken, double print, double fabric. Enough is enough! I have seen it also in denim. And I do not add more. If you believe that you can not do without it, try to make it original adding a scarf at the waist or wearing under it a white and tight shirt. If you have not purchased it, think about it and opt for a pant and a t-shirt tone on tone or in these same fantasy.
  

• LE SCARPE GEOMETRICHE, quelle completamente squadrate con tacchi a forma di rettangoli intendo. Proprio non mi piacciono, le trovo esagerate, per niente femminili e troppo ostentanti. La moda, spesso, è anche questo, ma, fortunatamente, riusciamo anche a dire NO. Una scarpa strana e particolare può andare bene , specialmente in questa prossima Primavera, ma non vorrai per caso farti vedere in giro con un cubo ai piedi?? 
  
• THE GEOMETRIC SHOES, those completely squared with heels in the shape of rectangles, I mean. I just do not like them, I find them exaggerated, and not feminine, but too much showing off. The fashion is often also this, but, fortunately, we can also say NO. A strange and particular shoe may fit, especially in this next Spring, but would you not want to walk around with a cube at the foot??

DAUGHTER

(per chi, come Fiammetta, non vede l’ora di correre di nuovo libera nei prati– (for those who, like Fiammetta, can not wait to run free again in the meadows)

YES TO:

• I POIS, e non ci sarebbe molto altro da aggiungere. Quando penso alla Primavera ed ai bambini, mi vengono subito in mente i POIS. E non passano mai di moda. Vengono rivisti, ampliati, a volte maltrattati, ma sono sempre là. Vicino a noi. A fare compagnia ai nostri bambini. Io li adoro e cerco sempre qualcosa con POIS per Fiammetta. A noi piacciono abbinati con i fiori o con stampe romantiche. In questa Primavera 2014 li troveremo anche nelle scarpe. Sì, scarpe a poi ssuper super fashion!!!
• THE POLKA DOTS, and there is not much more to add. When I think of Spring and children, immediately POLKA DOTS come to my mind. And they never go out of fashion. They are revised, expanded, sometimes abused, but they are always there. Close to us. Close to our children. I love them and I always look for something with polka dots for  Fiammetta. We like to match them with flowers or with some romantic prints. In this Spring 2014 you will find them even in the shoes. Yes, super super fashion polka dots shoes!!
  

• L’ARANCIONE, in tutte le sue sfumature. Dall’arancio intenso al pesca delicatissimo. E questo te lo avevo già detto lo scorso anno, dopo aver assistito a tutte le novità al PITTI BIMBO 77. Adesso sono qui a confermartelo. Arancio per questa Primavera 2014. Abbinato agli altri colori pastello, al celeste chiaro, al blu intenso, al bianco candido. Se ancora non lo hai fatto, corri a cercare un capo color pesca per la tua bambina e lei sarà davvero super super chic!!!
• THE ORANGE, in all its nuances. From intense orange to delicate peach color. And I already told you this last year, after seeing all the news at PITTI BIMBO 77. Now I’m here to confirm it. Orange for this Spring 2014. Combined with other pastel colors, with light blue, with dark blue, with pure white. If you still have not done it, run to search for a peach color garment for your little girl and she will be really super super chic!
  

• IL GIUBOTTO DI PELLE, ma solo se in colori chiari e caldi. No al giubbotto di pelle nera per i bambini!! Io, come avrai già visto nel post della scorsa settimana (CLICCA QUI), ne ho trovato uno per Fiammetta davvero carino ed anche a buon prezzo. Il colore è cipria ed è molto simile al mio che, invece, è azzurro chiarissimo. Faremo una bella coppia durante questa Primavera 2014 con il nostro coloratissimo giubbotto di pelle!!!
• THE LEATHER JACKET, but only if in light and warm colors. No to black leather jacket for kids! I, like you saw in last week’s post (CLICK HERE) I found one for Fiammetta really cute and also at good price. The color is a powder color and it is very similar to mine, that is however, in light blue color. We will make a nice couple during this Spring 2014 with our colorful leather jacket!

NO TO:

• LA GONNA BERMUDA, quegli short, intendo, che a prima vista sembrano una gonna, ma che invece sono dei bermuda. Sono di moda, ok, ma a me non piacciono nemmeno per noi mamme. Se sono short, è bene che si veda che sono shorts, altrimenti indossiamo una gonna e lasciamo stare. Figuriamoci per le nostre bambine…staranno più comode con una gonna (magari con elastico in vita) e saranno più moderne con un paio di shorts, che si devono riconoscere e non nascondere. Ok?? 
• THE SKIRT SHORTS (WRAP SHORTS), those shorts, I mean, that at first sight they look like a skirt, but instead they are shorts. They are fashionable, ok, but I do not even like for us moms. If they are short, it is good to see that they are shorts, otherwise we can wear a skirt and let it go. Imagine for our girls … they will be more comfortable with a skirt (maybe with elastic waist) and will be more modern with a pair of shorts, which must be recognized and not hide. Ok?
  

• LA BORSA, no dai, la borsa no!! Nemmeno se tutta fiorita o talmente piccola che quasi non si vede. Aspetta che la tua bambina abbia almeno 12 anni, poi comprale la borsetta che ha sempre desiderato!! Fino ad allora, però, l’accessorio borsa deve essere solo un gioco per le nostre figlie e non un vero e proprio capo di abbigliamento che faccia parte del suo quotidiano. Lascia che prenda la tua e ci giochi a casa, che finga di essere una donna che va a fare la spesa, che abbia un oggetto particolare che diventi il suo gioco preferito, ma non andare oltre. No acquistarle una borsa alla moda per poi portarla in giro con te. Aspetta che diventi grande, non avere fretta.
• THE BAG, come on, not the bag for kids! Not even if all flowered or so small that you can hardly see it. Wait until your child is at least 12 years old, then buy for her the handbag she has always wanted! Until then, however, the accessory bag should be just a game for our daughters and not an actual piece of clothing that is part of her daily life. Let she take yours and that she use it as a games at home, let she pretend to be a woman who goes to the grocery store, she has a particular object that will become her favorite game, but do not go beyond. Do not buy to her a stylish bag and then carry it around with you. Wait until she grow up, do not be in a hurry.
  

• LE CALZE DI PIZZO, lo so che sono di gran moda e che si vedono davvero dappertutto, ma a me proprio non piacciono!! Non piacciono nemmeno per me, ma questa è un’altra storia…credi davvero che la tua bambina abbia bisogno di essere femminile fin a quel punto?? Credo che lei abbia bisogno di essere bambina. Punto. Di essere libera, comoda, felice. Se credi che le calze siano troppo invernali, opta per un paio di calzettoni al ginocchio o ricorri ai vecchi, cari, insostituibili leggings.
  
• THE LACE TIGHTS, I know they are so fashionable and you see them really everywhere, but I just do not like them! I do not even like them for me, but that’s another story … do you really think your child needs to be female up to that? I think she needs to be a child. That’s it. To be free, comfortable, happy. If you think that the tight make too much  winter, opt for a pair of knee socks or for the old, dear, irreplaceable leggings.

SON

(per chi, come la sorella, non vede l’ora di poter stare un pò di più all’aria aperta e di poter sentire il sole bruciare un pò– (for those who, like her sister, cannot wait to stay a little more outside and have the possibility to feel the sun burning a little)

YES TO:

• LE RIGHE, sono un po’ come i POIS per le femmine. Intramontabili, trasformabili, combinabili, super super fashion. Anche questa Primavera il tuo bambino avrà davvero “bisogno” di un capo a righe. Non potrai deluderlo… 😉 allora via con una t-shirt, un maglioncino, un paio di pantaloni tutti a righe. Il colore sceglilo tu. Non puoi sbagliare!!
• THE STRIPES, are a bit like the POLKA DOTS for females. Timeless, convertible, combined, super super fashion. Also this spring your child will really “needs” a striped garment. You can not disappoint him … 😉 So go with a striped t-shirt, a striped sweater, a striped pair of striped trousers. You can choose the color. You can not go wrong!

• UN MAGLIONCINO DIVERTENTE, con una stampa colorata, buffa, spassosa. Sdrammatizza la situazione e rende la giornata un po’ più allegra. Ne ho visti carinissimi con occhiali, baffi e parrucca. Davvero!!! Abbinali ad una camicia chiara o anche a quadri, ad un paio di jeans ed a una scarpa con velcro ed il tuo bambino sarà pronta ad affrontare la Primavera anche a scuola.
  
• A FUNNY SWEATER, with a colorful, funny, hilarious print. It defuses the situation and makes the day a little more cheerful. I’ve seen cute ones with glasses, mustache and wig. Really! Match them with a light or checked shirt, a pair of jeans and a velcro shoes and your child will be ready to face the Spring at school.

• I PANTALONI A FIORI, daiiii, osa un po’!! Io li adoro e sono sicura che il tuo maschietto li apprezzerà davvero almeno quanto me. Sono favolosi, alla moda, e davvero super cool. Quelli lunghi saranno bellissimi con un maglioncino tinta unita con toppe sui gomiti, con un piumino leggero a maniche corte, con una allacciata. Quelli corti (sempre a fiori) saranno perfetti con t-shirt, giubbotto in denim e sneaker bianca.
• THE FLOWERED TROUSERS, come on, dares a bit!! I love them and I’m sure your boy will really appreciate it as much as me. They are fabulous, fashionable, and really super cool. The long ones will be beautiful with a one tone sweater with elbows patches, with a lightweight down jacket with lace-up shoes. The short ones (always flowered) will be perfect with a t-shirt, a denim jacket and a white sneaker.

NO TO:

• IL CAPPELLO, quello con la tesa intendo. A Primavera, quando c’è il sole, il cappello non serve più, e di sera, se ancora il caldo non sarà arrivato, sarà necessario il buon vecchio berretto di lana. Ecco, adesso dimmi come faresti indossare un cappello diverso al tuo bambino!! I più piccoli assumono quasi un’aria ridicola con un “Borsalino”, i più grandi spero abbiano la forza di ribellarsi e di dire NO. Lo hai visto sulle riviste?? Regalalo a tuo marito.
• THE HAT, the one with the brim, I mean. In Spring, when the sun is shining, the hat is no longer needed, and in the evening, even if the heat will not come, you will need the good old wool cap. Well, now tell me how would you make wear a different hat to your baby! The little ones almost look ridiculous with a “Borsalino”, then I hope the greatest ones will have the strength to rise up and say NO. Did you saw it in the magazines? Give it to your husband.
  

• I JEANS ELASTICIZZATI, tipo jeggings per intendersi. Sì, li ho visti anche per maschio e non ti mentirei mai su una cosa del genere…. ok per le femmine, proprio NO per i ragazzi!!! Per i più piccoli non sono adatti, perché crederanno che avresti voluto una femmina e che stai riversando nella tua creatura tutte i tuoi sogni infranti, per i più grandi..vuoi davvero che te lo dica?? Se ti piace vedere il tuo bambino con pantaloni più stretti, opta per un paio a sigaretta, ma non più stretti, ok?? Ti piacciono i leggings?? Comprali per te…
• THE STRETCH JEANS, like jeggings to be understood. Yes, I saw them for male and I do not lie to you about something like that …. ok for females, NO for boys! For the little ones they are not suitable, because someone could believe that you wanted a female and you’re pouring into your creature all your broken dreams, for the older ones .. do you really want me to tell you? If you like to see your child with tight pants, opt for a pair a cigarette trousers, but not tighter, okay? Do you like leggings? Buy them for yourself .

• LA FELPA SENZA MANICHE, non la trovo né carina, né funzionale. Non riscalda quando fa ancora un po’ freddo e quando ormai il sole inizierà ad essere più alto, farà caldo inutilmente. Se proprio ti piace, iscrivi il tuo bambino a pugilato e, insieme ad un paio di guantoni ed un paio di pantaloncini corti, sarà davvero perfetta. Se il tuo bambino non ama il pugilato, opta per la felpa con le maniche o per un gilet a righe.
• THE SLEEVELESS SWEAT, I do not find neither pretty nor functional. It does not heat when it is still a bit cold and when the sun will begin to be higher, it will be warm to no avail. If you really like it, sign up your child in boxing and, along with a pair of gloves and a pair of shorts, it will be really perfect. If your child does not like boxing, opt for the sweatshirt with the sleeves or a striped sweater.

Un ultimo consiglio per TUTTI: E’ PRIMAVERA, o quasi….LASCIATI andare al COLORE, alla FANTASIA a STAMPE divertenti, ma non dimenticare la personalità del tuo bambino. Lui dovrà uscire, vivere, correre, divertirsi e SENTIRSI BAMBINO. Sarà lui a DOVER ANDARE INCONTRO AL SOLE, anche se vestito alla moda… 😉

One last tip for ALL: It is SPRING or almost…..GO to match the COLOR, the FANTASY, the funny PRINTS, but do not forget the personality of your child. He must leave, live, run, have fun and FEEL A CHILD. He will HAVE TO GO TO MEET THE SUN, though in fashionable dress …;-)
