MOTHER
(for those who, like me, should definitely go back to work and need, therefore, cheerful and suitabl outfits – per chi, come me, deve assolutamente tornare a lavorare e che vuole, per questo, look allegri ed adatti)
YES TO:

THE ENGLISH SHOES (LOAFERS, MOCCASINS O, O HOW YOU’D LIKE TO CALL THEM), the classic men shoe, in short. Even better with fringes (I have found a few really wonderful that soon I’ll show you). They are perfect for this back to office, are rigorous enough, allow you to walk just as well even after a month of flip flops and they are also funny. They are so beautiful matched with pencil skirt and socks.

LE SCARPE ENGLISH (LOAFERS, O MOCASSINI, O COME VUOI CHIAMARLE), la classica scarpe maschile, insomma. Meglio ancora se con le frange (ne ho trovate un paio davvero meraviglioso che presto ti farò vedere). Sono adattissime per questo rientro al lavoro, sono rigorose quanto basta, permettono di camminare bene lo stesso anche dopo un mese di infradito e sono anche divertenti. Bellissime con calzino e gonna al ginocchio.
- THE HAT, it is really time to get something in the head …. 😉, Preferably something in particular shapes. It is the real MUST have for this season and you can find around something for every taste. Choose the one that you like and wear it with confidence to return to work (everything will look less traumatizing). I recommend, however, DO NOT OVER. I would not want to see you hanging out with Minnie Mouse ears!
- IL CAPPELLO, è davvero arrivato il momento di mettersi qualcosa in testa…. 😉, meglio se dalle forme particolari. E’ il vero MUST have di questa stagione e ne trovi in giro davvero per tutti i gusti. Scegli quello che più ti piace ed indossalo con disinvoltura per tornare a lavoro (tutto ti sembrerà meno traumatizzante). Mi raccomando, però, NON ESAGERARE. Non vorrei vederti in giro con le orecchie di Topolina!!!

THE TIMELESS KNEE-LENGHT SKIRT, choose it in some prints for BACK TO OFFICE, it will be more cheerful and portable even with these last warm. Match it now with sleeveless shirt, blazer and ankle boot, with turtleneck in winter tones and boots in a while.

L’INTRAMONTABILE GONNA AL GINOCCHIO, sceglila in fantasia per questo BACK TO OFFICE, sarà più allegra e portabile anche con questi ultimi caldi. Abbinala adesso con blusa senza maniche, blazer avvitato e stivaletto alla caviglia, tra un pò con lupetto nei toni invernali e stivale.
NO TO:
- THE BAG IN THE CAULIFLOWER SHAPE (or anything else except a bag), I know they are the new TREND, but I really do not like them. The bag is the bag and it must be in the form of a bag, do you know what I mean? Would you really like carrying around cats, skulls or TV remote controls? No come on … if you really like them, buy one of them and use them to go to some costume party, not to return to the office.
- LA BORSA A FORMA DI CAVOLFIORE (o di qualsiasi altra cosa tranne che di una borsa), lo so che sono il nuovo TREND, ma a me davvero non piacciono. La borsa è la borsa e deve essere a forma di borsa, non so se mi spiego!!! Davvero ti piace portare in giro gatti, teschi o telecomandi della televisione?? No daiii…se proprio ti piacciono, comprane una ed usale per andare a qualche festa in maschera, non per tornare in ufficio.
- THE LONG SKIRT, I LOVE IT, let’s be clear, but now after wearing it during all the summer time, store it in the closet and switch to more appropriate length for work or go to trousers. Another reason for not not to give in to the temptation to buy a long skirt? The MINI is back with arrogance and we are all more serene … (you’ll see that with the 2.000 denier tights it will be really wearable).
- LA GONNA LUNGA, io la ADORO, chiariamoci, ma adesso, dopo averla portata per tutta l’estate, riponila nell’armadio e passa a lunghezze più consone per il lavoro o direttamente ai pantaloni. Un altro motivo per non cedere all’acquisto della gonna lunga? Torna con prepotenza la MINI e siamo tutte più serene…(vedrai che con la calza 2.000 denari sarà portabilissima).
- THE TARTAN TOTAL LOOK, in the time of GRUNGE, of check, of tartan, do not yield to the temptation to overdo it! I like a lot the check pattern, but must be paired with something else (EVEN WITH FLOWERS, that I have already repeated too often), but not with another tartan. If you are classic and rigorous, opt for a pair of checked pants to match with silk shirt or a tartan blazer to match with blue or black palazzo pants and a super heel. If you like to be daring, mix different prints (check and flowers, check and polka dots, even check and animal prints), but not show off in the office a TARTAN total look, okay??
- IL TARTAN TOTAL LOOK, in pieno tempo di GRUNGE, di quadri, di tartan, non cediamo alla tentazione di ESAGERARE!!! A me piace un sacco la fantasia a quadri, ma va abbinata a qualcosa di diverso (ANCHE CON I FIORI, che ormai ti ho già ripetuto troppo volte), ma non con altro tartan. Se sei classica e rigorosa, opta per un paio di pantaloni a quadri da abbinare con camicia di seta, oppure un blazer tartan da abbinare con pantaloni palazzo neri o blu ed un super tacco. Se ti va di osare mischia le fantasie (quadri e fiori, quadri e pois, anche quadri e animalier), ma non sfoggiare in ufficio un TARTAN total look, ok??
DAUGHTER
(for those who, like Fiammetta, must go back to school and face new adventures and discoveries, with a bit of style – per chi, come Fiammetta, deve tornare a scuola ed affrontare nuove avventure e scoperte, con un pò di stile)
YES TO:
- THE SWEATSHIRT, comfortable, practical, perfect for BACK TO SCHOOL. To alternate with the sweater and to wear always , every day and in all occasions. I’ll show you some really really special ones and also in LIMITED EDITION very soon… 😉 Match it really with everything, even with dresses and with pleated trousers, not only with denim and leggings.
- LA FELPA, comoda, pratica, perfetta per il BACK TO SCHOOL. Da alternare con il maglioncino e da portare sempre, tutti i giorni ed in tutte le occasioni. Presto te ne farò vedere qualcuna davvero davvero particolare ed anche in EDIZIONE LIMITATA… 😉 Abbinala davvero con tutto, anche con vestitini e pantaloni con le pinces, non solo con il denim ed i leggings.
- THE SHOES WITH STRAPS, the only true essential purchase for back to school! Your daughter should be able to take off and put on the shoes on her own and the teachers have the right to have an easier life!! You can find a lot of them around and I found some model very feminine and funny. Remember also the sole and opt for well-made shoes!
- LE SCARPE CON GLI STRAPPI, unico vero acquisto indispensabile per il ritorno a scuola!!! La tua bambina deve essere in grado di togliere e mettere le scarpe da sola e le maestre hanno il diritto di vedersi facilitata la vita!! In giro ne trovi davvero tantissime ed io ho trovato qualche modello davvero femminile e divertente. Ricordati anche della suola ed opta per scarpe ben fatte!!!
- THE BLUE, the color of choice for the BACK TO SCHOOL. This year, in addition, it will be really into fashion color and it will be easily matched to red, tartan, black (REAL MUST in this winter season). Blue sweatshirt, blue skirt, blue leggings, blue jacket, and you will not go wrong, even for your princess!!
- IL BLU, il colore per eccellenza per il BACK TO SCHOOL. Quest’anno, in più, sarà un colore davvero di moda e sarà facilmente abbinabile al rosso, al tartan, al nero (VERI MUST della stagione invernale). Felpa blu, gonnellina blu, leggings blu, giacca blu, scegli tu e non sbaglierai, anche per la tua principessa!!!
NO TO:
- THE LEATHER, it is not really the ideal material for the school. It is not practical, it is not easy to clean, it is not hot and is not comfortable. In addition I find it not too suitable for children. Forget it and opt for the plush, the cotton, the jersey (all highly suitable fabrics).
- LA PELLE, non è davvero il materiale ideale per la scuola. Non è pratica, non è facilmente lavabile, non è calda e non è confortevole. In più non la trovo nemmeno troppo adatta per i bambini. Lascia stare e opta per la felpa, il cotone, il jersey (tutti materiali adattissimi).

THE MINI, it is not the time for the short skirt. Your little girl will not be free to move, and even if you opt for those that are wide, she will have to wear under them a pair of leggings. Postpone the purchase as it will be a bit colder, and with a nice pair of colorfu tights, your little girl will wear the mini even to go to school. At the moment, choose pants, leggings and you’ll avoid the scrapes to her knees!

LA MINI, non è il momento della gonna corta. La tua bambina non sarà libera di muoversi e, anche se opti per quelle larghe, dovrai sempre farle indossare sotto un paio di leggings. Rimanda l’acquisto a quando sarà un pò più freddo e, con un bel paio di calze colorate, potrai far indossare la mini alla tua bambina anche per andare a scuola. Per adesso scegli pantaloni, leggings ed eviterai sbucciature al ginocchio!!!
- THE MAKEUP AND THE NAIL POLISH, these should be GAMES to do at home, with the mom, with the little friends and they should remain games. To go to school is not necessary to have the nail polish at the foot, the lipstick, the red cheeks. It is so early to teach this to our daughters, they will learn it on their own and very soon, unfortunately. Do not let their attention focuses only on this, in the school they should exchange ideas, thoughts, colored pencils, and not nail polish and glitter. It is up to you, remember!

IL TRUCCO E LO SMALTO, questi dovrebbero essere GIOCHI da fare a casa, con la mamma, con le amichette e dovrebbero rimanere tali. Per andare a scuola non è necessario avere lo smalto ai piedi, il rossetto, le guance rosse. E’ presto per insegnare questo alle nostre bambine, lo impareranno da sole e molto presto, purtroppo. No lasciamo che la loro attenzione si focalizzi solo su questo, a scuola dovrebbero scambiarsi idee, pensieri, matite colorate, non smalti e brillantini. Spetta a te, ricordalo!!!

(for those who, like the sister, has to go back to school and want to deal with this new beginning with style – per chi, come la sorella, deve tornare a scuola e vuole affrontare questo rientro con stile )

THE CLOTH JACKET, I really like ita lot and I also find it perfect for back to school. It is just a bit rigorous, but remains comfortable and practical. It replaces any worthily vest until it will be a bit colder. To be worn with t-shirts, baggy pants and sneakers. Very cute with a sport shirt and jeans.

LA GIACCA DI PANNO, a me piace davvero un sacco e la trovo anche davvero perfetta per il rientro a scuola. E‘ leggermente rigorosa, ma rimane comoda e pratica. Sostituisce degnamente qualsiasi giubbotto fino a quando non sarà un pò più freddo. Da indossare con t-shirt, baggy pants e sneakers. Molto carina anche con una camicia sportiva e con i jeans.

THE STRIPED SHIRT OR A SHIRH WITH POIS, perhaps worn with a t-shirt underneath, so as to be removed once he is in school. As long as it will not be cold it can also be used in place of a sweater maybe with over a sleeveless jacket. Combine under a pair of comfortable pants, sneakers with straps and your baby male will be perfect for his back to school.

LA CAMICIA A RIGHE O A POIS, magari da indossare con una t-shirt sotto, così da essere tolta una volta arrivati a scuola. Finchè non farà molto freddo la puoi anche usare al posto di un maglioncino con sopra magari un piumino senza maniche. Abbina sotto un paio di pantaloni comodi, le sneakers con gli strappi ed il tuo bambino sarà perfetto per il suo ritorno a scuola.

THE GREEN WITH BLUE, let’s anticipate these trends! I like to die them together and not only for next summer (when it is a must to dress our boys with the colors of the sky and of the sea), but also for this winter. Mix together the two colors (both in a sweatshirt, or a green sweater with blue pants) and bring your child to school peacefully. It will be the most chic and the most colorful!

IL VERDE CON IL CELESTE, anticipiamole queste mode!!! A me piacciono da morire insieme e non solo per la prossima estate (quando sarà d’obbligo vestire i nostri maschietti con i colori del cielo e del mare), ma anche per questo inverno. Mischia insieme i due colori (entrambi in una felpa, o un maglioncino verde con pantaloni azzurri) e manda a scuola il tuo bambino serenamente. Sarà il più chic ed il più colorato!!

THE CHENILLE, I just do not like it, especially for children. I find it heavy, not at all comfortable and even non-breathable. Children need to run and sweat freely and to have fitting and comfortable clothes that are in harmony with their body. Go for the fleece, wool, pile, but not the chenille, ok?

LA CINIGLIA, a me proprio non piace, specialmente per i bambini. La trovo pesante, per niente comoda e nemmeno traspirante. I bambini devono correre e sudare liberamente ed avere vestiti adatti, comodi e siano in armonia con il loro corpo. Vada per la felpa, la lana, il pile, ma non la ciniglia, ok??

THE SWIMMING SHORTS, yes, those shorts pnats, striped, in “nylon” and with the drawstring waist. Those ones I mean. I understand that it’s still hot, that you have not yet started with the shopping and that you think your child may have as much, but just as much, warm, but, please, WE ARE NOT MORE AT THE SEA!! There are shorts in fleece or in light cotton, really comfortable sweatpants or trousers with low crotch and narrow at the bottom, for example, so fresh and light and with whom your child can safely return to school, without having to hide all day in the bathroom!!

I PANTALONCINI DA MARE, sì, quelli corti, a righe, di “nylon” e con la coulisse in vita. Quelli intendo. Lo capisco che fa ancora caldo, che ancora non ti sei data allo shopping e che pensi che il tuo bambino possa avere tanto, ma proprio tanto, caldo, ma, ti prego, NON SIAMO PIU’ AL MARE!!!! Esistono bermuda in felpa o in cotone leggero, pantaloni della tuta comodissimi o pantaloni con cavallo basso e stretti in fondo, per esempio, freschi e leggeri e con i quali il tuo bambino potrà tranquillamente tornare a scuola, senza doversi nascondere tutto il giorno in bagno!!!!

THE TARTAN SOCKS, therefore, let’s reiterate the concept. The TARTAN is the true MUST for this season, ok, but not necessarily and at any cost. Going back to school does not mean choosing a college uniform and embellish the whole with checked socks. Your son would not be so happy, do not you think? Choose a scarf, a shirt, a patch to sew on jrans, but not tartan socks. Unless your child does not attend school in Oxford … 😉

I CALZINI TARTAN, dunque, ribadiamo il concetto. Il TARTAN è il vero MUST di questa stagione, ok, ma non per forza ed a tutti i costi. Tornare a scuola non significa scegliere una divisa da college ed impreziosire il tutto con dei calzini a quadri. Tuo figlio non ne sarebbe proprio felicissimo, non credi?? Scegli un foulard, una camicia, una toppa da cucire sui jens, ma non i calzini tartan. A meno che tuo figlio non sia iscritto ad Oxford… 😉

One last tip for ALL: This is a special moment, a MOMENT OF NEW ADVENTURES, NEW GROWTH, NEW SELF-DISCOVERIES. Let’s make this moment easier for our children, just go along with them for a while, stay close to them and wear them in a SUITABLE WAY. SUITED TO THEIR PERSONALITYS, TO THEIR WORLD, TO THEIR WAY TO EXPRESS THEMSELVES. That’s it.
Un ultimo consiglio per TUTTI: Questo è un momento particolare, un MOMENTO DI NUOVE AVVENTURE, NUOVE CRESCITE, NUOVE SCOPERTE DI SE’. Rendiamo questo momento più facile per i nostri bambini, basta assecondarli un pò, stare loro vicini e vestirli in MODO ADATTO. ADATTO ALLA LORO PERSONALITA’, AL LORO MONDO, AL LORO MODO DI ESPRIMERSI. Tutto qui.
