FIAMMISAYS: YES AND NO of NOVEMBER 2012 (THE FIRST COLD)

Here we are…. this is the FIFTH appointment with my section “FIAMMISAYS” started on July 2012. For an introduction and brief description of my new “adventure”, take a look HERE (you can find there all the others appointments)

Eccoci… questo è il QUINTO appuntamento con la mia rubrica “FIAMMISAYS” partita a Luglio 2012. Per una introduzione e breve descrizione di questa mia nuova “avventura”, guarda QUI (ci puoi trovare tutti gli altri appuntamenti)

MOTHER
(for who, like me, it’s pretty chilly, but want, however, to please herself  – per chi, come me, è abbastanza freddolosa, ma si vuole, comunque, piacere)

YES TO:

• THE TRICOT, what beautifu all those big, warm, enveloping sweaters you see around now! They are perfect for the first cold weather and is very cool (in every variation and color). Combine them with a long skirt or lunguette (the pencil one) and you will be perfect. Avoid jeans, unless you do not have to go for a nice picnic.
• IL TRICOT, che belli tutti quei maglioni grandi, caldi, avvolgenti che si vedono adesso in giro!! Sono perfetti per i primi freddi e sono davvero alla moda (in ogni variante e colore). Abbinali ad una gonna lunga o lunguette (a matita) e sarai perfetta. Evita il jeans, a meno che tu non debba andare a fare una bella scampagnata.

• THE LEATHER PLEATED SKIRT, I love it!! I know that’s not really suitable for the cold, but with a nice jacket you will resolve everything. The leather is back in fashion at large and softened by the folds of a knee-length skirt is really wonderful. I found one from Zara a couple of months ago and I keep it as an oracle! Match it with a sweatshirt (which, superseding well the sweater), add a jeweled collar and you will be super trendy.
• LA GONNA DI PELLE A PIEGHE,la adoro!!!!!! Lo so che non è proprio adatta per il freddo, ma con un bel giaccone si risolve tutto. La pelle è tornata alla grande e addolcita dalle pieghe di una gonna al ginocchio è davvero meravigliosa. Ne ho trovata una da Zara un paio di mesi fa e la tengo come un oracolo!! Abbinala ad una felpa (che sostiuisce ottimamente il maglioncino), aggiungi un colletto gioiello e sarai super trendy.

• THE WARM SOCKS, I wear them since always (I hate tights) and now I can really indulge. There’s something for all tastes. My favorite ones and those melange and those stripes. With a skirt (no shorter than the knee, I recommend it!!!) they are perfect and also very hot (half leg at least …). Day with a boot (ankle boots), in the evening dares even with a sandal (not too open). The contrast is fantastic.
• I CALZETTONI PESANTI, io li porto da sempre (odio le calze) e adesso mi posso davvero sbizzarrire. Ce ne sono davvero per tutti i gusti. I miei preferiti quelli melangiati e quelli a righe. Con una gonna (non più corta del ginocchio, mi raccomando!!!!!!!!) sono perfetti e anche caldissimi (per metà gamba almeno…). Di giorno con uno stivaletto (ankle boots), di sera osa pure con un sandalo (non troppo aperto). Il contrasto è bellissimo.

NO TO:

• THE BUM BAG, or other small bags attached to your waistline … you have not seen them? Open any fashion magazine and be amazed! I do not like them, I do not find even comfortable. With the arrival of cold, you feel comfortable rummaging under jackets and coats to pay for a coffee or to answer the phone?? A beautiful bag at hand is preferred .. then, the choice is always yours. But please …. do not do it! 😉
• IL MARSUPIO, o altre borsine varie attaccate alla vita…non le hai viste?? Apri una qualsiasi rivista di moda e stupisciti!! Non mi piacciono proprio, non le trovo nemmeno comode. Con l’arrivo del freddo, ti sembra comodo rovistare sotto piumini e cappotti per pagare un caffè o per rispondere al telefono??? Un bella borsa a portata di mano è da preferire..poi, la scelta rimane sempre tua. Ma ti prego….non lo fare!!! 😉

• THE SEQUINS AT ALL COSTS, in the sense that I like the sequins, but not by force and ostentatious! I’ve seen around a lot of look overly glitter and I must say they seem a little too much. Just take a garment (maybe a skirt) and match it with a nice wool turtleneck sweater, the effect will be pleasant and resized. And with the sequined skirt, finally, watch out for tights (always 1000000 denier) and for shoes (black suede would be perfect).
• LE PAILETTES A TUTTI I COSTI,  nel senso che a me piaccion0 le pailettes, ma non per forza e ostentate!! Ne ho visti in giro di look esageratamente luccicosi e devo dire che mi sembrano un pò troppo. Prendi solo un capo (magari una gonnellina) e abbinala con un bel maglione di lana a collo alto, l’effetto sarà piacevole e ridimensionato. E con la gonna di pailettes, infine, occhio alle calze (rigorosamente 1000000 denari) ed alle scarpe (nere di camoscio sarebbero perfette).

• THE FEATHERS, do you really would go around covered with graceful and colorful feathers? I do not believe … leave them to the models and to those who need to launch or upset fashion. We are modern women, but we are also sensible and we prefer to dare with taste. No sweater, shirts, skirts, boots, all covered with feathers. With the first cold, leave them inside your warm down jacket (inside), or at least, to decorate your beautiful scarf. Ok
• LE PIUME,  davvero andresti in giro coperta di leggiadre e colorate piume?? Non ci credo… lasciale alle modelle ed a quelli che la moda la devono lanciare o sconvolgere. Noi, donne moderne sì, ma sensate, preferiamo osare con gusto. No a maglie, magliette, gonne, stivali, tutti coperti di piume. Con i primi freddi lasciale dentro al tuo caldo piumino (dentro), o al limite, a decorare la tua bellissima sciarpa. Ok?

DAUGHTER
(for those who, as Fiammetta, need to keep warm, with a touch of glam –  per chi, non come Fiammetta, ha bisogno di stare al calduccio, con un tocco di glam)

YES TO:

• THE WOOL DRESSES, marvelous those striped…I find them practical, comfortable, warm and suitable for any occasion. Match them with colored socks (and dare well with contrasts), with a boot and your child will be comfortable and she can really go anywhere, even to the park (until weather will permit it), why not?
• I VESTITINI DI LANA,meravigliosi quelli a righe…li trovo pratici, comodi, caldi ed adatti ad ogni occasione. Abbinali a calze colorate (ed osa pure con i contrasti), uno stivaletto e la tua bambina sarà comoda e potrà davvero andare ovunque anche ai giardinetti (finchè il tempo ce lo permette), perchè no??

• THE CHECKED SHIRTS, or even in fantasy, in general. Some are even in heavy cotton, so as to be perfect for the first cold. I love them and I like to match them with colorful sweaters and cargo pants. I also found some with small studs (not too many) and I liked it even more.
• LE CAMICIE A QUADRI, o, anche in fantasia, in generale. Alcune sono anche in cotone pesante, così da essere perfette per il primo freddo. Io le adoro e mi piace abbinarle con maglioncini colorati e pantaloni cargo. Ne ho trovate anche alcune con delle piccole borchie (non troppe) e mi sono piaciute ancora di più.

• THE SHRUGS, I know it may seem like an useless garment (I, until yesterday, seemed so too), but we can re-evaluate it! Try to put it on a sweater that maybe you feel too light and, once put the coat, drop it, pick it up and use it as a scarf. I did and I have discovered a super cute garment … To choose ONLY those of wool, and heavy wool (in the other materials it is a bit trivial).
• IL COPRISPALLE, lo so che può sembrarti un capo inutile (anche a me, fino a ieri sembrava così), ma lo possiamo rivalutare!!! Prova a metterlo sopra un golfino che, magari, ti sembra troppo leggero e, una volta infilato il cappotto, sgancialo, tiralo su ed usalo come sciarpa. Io l’ho fatto ed ho riscoperto un capo super carino…Da scegliere SOLO quelli di lana, e grossa (negli altri materiali risulta un pò banale).

NO TO:

• THE OPTICAL TOTAL LOOK, I already find it a little heavy for us moms, so spare me the sight to see your little girl dressed as if she was just out of the sixties! The prints are all fabulous, now more than ever, and you can safely combine them all together, but the optical is a little difficult, I honestly do not find it suitable for children under 18 years! If you really can not resist, go with a skirt, but the sweater above must be sober and socks that matching. Ok??
• IL TOTAL LOOK OPTICAL, già lo trovo un pò pesante anche per noi mamme, risparmiami lo spettacolo di vedere la tua bambina vestita come se fosse appena uscita dagli anni Sessanta!! Le stampe sono tutte favolose, adesso più che mai, e le puoi tranquillamente abbinare tutte insieme, ma l’optical è un pò difficile , sinceramente non lo trovo adatto per le minori di 18 anni! Se proprio non resisti, vai con una gonnellina, ma il maglioncino sopra deve essere sobrio e le calze in tinta. Ok??

• THE CAPE, or hood, if you prefer! This, definitely, seems like a useless garment! I think you can use it yes and no six times (not that they are few for a child), but as soon as the cold really will come, how do you think to use it? Above it does not heat, under it does not enter. Avoid, believe me, and invest in a warm winter jacket (what you want).
• LA MANTELLA,  o cappa, che dir si voglia! Questo sì che mi sembra un capo inutile!! Credo che la potrai usare sì e no sei volte (non che siamo poche per un bambino), ma, appena il freddo si farà sentire davvero, come pernsi di sfruttarla?? Sopra non riscalda, sotto non ci sta. Evita, credimi, ed investi in un caldo capo invernale (quello che vuoi).

• THE SUEDE BOOT, fringed too!!!! Oh dear ….. you like? Sure? I know it’s fashionable, but ….. first of all I do not find it hot (you need to buy three numbers above and stuffing them with a mega ski sock) unless you have a nice padding inside, then I do not find even suitable for girls, finally, I think, that they have time to watch Pocahontas … figured to imitate her…
• LO STIVALETTO CAMOSCIO, con frange per giunta!!!!!!!!!! Oh mamma…..ti piace?? Sicura?? Lo so che è di moda, ma…..per prima cosa non lo trovo caldo (dovrai comprarlo tre numeri sopra ed infilarci dentro un mega calzettone da sci) a meno che non abbiano una bella imbottitura dentro, poi non lo trovo nemmeno adatto per delle bambine, infine, credo, che abbiamo tempo per guardare Pocahontas… figurati per imitarla….

SON
(for those who,as the sister, need to keep warm, but to feel “cool”-  per chi, come la sorella, vuole stare al calduccio, ma sentirsi “figo”)

YES TO: 

• THE HIGH NECK SWEATER, if your child does not bother, it is a perfect garment for the first cold and it is always a classic. Dare with prints and color and match it as you want (really as you want!).
• IL MAGLIONE A COLLO ALTO,  se al tuo bambino non dà noia, è un capo perfetto per il primo freddo ed è anche sempre un classico. Azzarda con le stampe ed il colore ed abbinalo come vuoi (davvero come vuoi!).

• THE STRIPED PANTS, turned over at the end with a nice sock that comes out … how beautiful! I like to die and I find them super fashion and for a real “macho” .. 😉 combine them to a nice wool sweater, a denim shirt, a nice belt and complete the look with a boot. Your child will be happy and warm!
• I PANTALONI A RIGHE, rigirati in fondo con un bel calzettone che sbuca…che belli!!! A me piacciono da morire e li trovo super fashion e da vero “macho”..;-) Abbinali ad un bel maglione di lana, ad una camicia jeans, ad una bella cintura e completa il look con uno scarponcino. Il tuo bambino sarà felice ed al caldo!!

• THE CLARKS SHOES, and what to say more than they’re the real MUST HAVE for a male, always! Practical, warm, comfortable, to match with everything from jeans to velevt trousers, to easy pant. A classic in brown, so elegant in blue, super cool in green.
• LE CLARKS,  e che dire di più se non che sono il vero MUST HAVE per un maschio da sempre!! Pratiche, calde, comode, da abbinare con tutto, dal jeans, al pantalone di velluto, al pantalone sportivo. Un classico in marrone, elegantissime in blu, super cool in verde.

NO TO:

• DENIM OVERALLS for males, NO!! Come on, please … let it be .. buy them for you if you can not avoid and put on a nice sweater … you really believe that your child is dressed so well? Buy well as jeans, but stopped at the bottom, and on the top, if you really want to make the denim total look (which, I repeat, I do not like), as well buy the denim shirt, but put under a cute t-shirt, leaves the shirt open and put on a nice colored cardigan! Oh, also the socks printed, ok? What an effort …
• LA TUTA DI JEANS per i maschi, NO!!!!! Dai, per favore…lascia stare..comprale per te se proprio non puoi evitare e mettici sopra un bel maglione…davvero credi che il tuo bambino stia bene vestito così?? Compra pure i jeans, ma fermati al sotto e sopra, se proprio vuoi fare il jeans total look (che, ripeto, non mi piace), compra pure anche la camicia jeans, ma metti sotto una t-shirt carina, lascia la camicia aperta e metti sopra un bel cardigan colorato! Ah, anche i calzini in fantasia, ok?? Che fatica…

• THE LACED SHOES, while I find them very suitable to females, I do not like at all for males. I find them a bit too “adult”. Children are perfect with sneakers, with the clarks model or with  boots. The laced are a bit too and they are not very easy to match. With a sportly look they make the effect of “little man dressed up” , with an elegant looks they make the effect of “great man in miniature.” No no
• LE STRINGATE,mentre le trovo adattissime alle femmine, non mi piacciono per niente per i maschi. Le trovo un pò troppo “adulte”. I bambini sono perfetti con le sneakers, con il modello clarks o con gli stivaletti. Le stringate sono un pò troppo e non sono nemmeno facilissime da abbinare. Con un look sportivo fanno l’effetto “piccolo uomo rivestito”, con un look elegante fanno l’effetto “grande uomo in miniatura”. No no.

• THE BOMBER, thankfully, we have overcame the eighties , so let’s also overcome the thought that the bomber is beautiful. IT IS NOT ‘! And your little man wearing even less! In addition, now that starts to get cold, by the great elastic waist goes all the wind and your child will always have a cold. It ‘a matter of health, so, to throw it away (even if you’ve just bought) and run to buy a jacket (which you want) that is suitable for your child’s age and for the time in which we live. We know? Thank you..
• IL BOMBER, gli anni ottanta, per fortuna, gli abbiamo superati, quindi superiamo anche il pensiero che il bomber sia bello. NON LO E’!! Ed addosso al tuo piccolo ometto ancora meno!! In più, adesso che inizia a fare freddo, da quell’elasticone in vita passa tutto il vento ed il tuo bambino avrà sempre il raffreddore. E’ una questione di salute, qundi, buttarlo via (anche se lo hai appena comprato) e correre ad acquistare un giaccone (quale vuoi tu) che sia adatto all’età del tuo bambino ed al tempo in cui stiamo vivendo. Ci siamo capite? Grazie..

One last tip for ALL: DARE EVEN WITH ALL PRINTS and  mix them together, never forgetting that you have CHOSEN your look, their is IMPOSED (almost always ;-)…). Do not overdo it, make them feel at ease and keep them WARM!

Un ultimo consiglio per TUTTI: OSA PURE CON TUTTE LE STAMPE e mischiale tra di loro, senzadimenticare MAI che il tuo look lo hai SCELTO, il loro è IMPOSTO (quasi sempre 😉 …). Non esagerare, falli sentire sempre a loro agio e TIENILI AL CALDO!
