FIAMMISAYS: YES AND NO of SEPTEMBER 2012 (BACK to SCHOOL / BACK to WORK)

Eccoci… questo è il TERZO appuntamento con la mia rubrica “FIAMMISAYS” partita a Luglio 2012. Per una introduzione e breve descrizione di questa mia nuova “avventura”, guarda QUI (ci puoi trovare anche il primo appuntamento – LUGLIO ed il secondo – AGOSTO – VACANZE AL MARE)

MOTHER
(for those who, like me, must get back to WORK- per chi, come me, deve tornare al LAVORO)

YES TO:

• THE PANTS MORE SHORT (ankle pants), the real star of this return to the workplace must be the SHOES (so that the focus falls there, instead of on your eyes at least “frowning” which means everything except the want to be at work). Choose a print (floral, plaid, jacuard) and you would be perfect!!
• I PANTALONI PIU’ CORTI (alla caviglia), la vera protagonista di questo rientro nell’ambiente lavorativo deve essere la SCARPA (così che l’attenzione cada lì, invece che sul tuo sguardo quantomeno “accigliato” che sta a significare tutto tranne che la voglia di essere a lavoro). Scegli una stampa (fiorita, quadrettoni, jacuard) e sarei perfetta!!

• THE DOCTOR BAG, and this time the real one .. 😉 (HERE you can admire Fiammetta’s one). It ‘s the real MUST of this season and it is perfect for a return to work as a star, unless you are not already a doctor … (you do not want, by chance, run with the same two bags!). Choose it brown or black, but, remember, printed is super fashion!!
• LA DOCTOR BAG,e stavolta quella vera.. 😉 (QUI puoi ammirare quella di Fiammetta). E’ il vero MUST di stagione ed è perfetta per un rientro al lavoro da star, a meno che tu non faccia già il medico… (non vorrai, per caso, girare, con due borse uguali!!!). Sceglila pure marrone o nera, ma stampata è super fashion!!!!

• THE SLIPPERS, another must have that will allow you to be comfortable (after a month in flip-flops is hard “back” on the heel 12 …), but at the same time, stylish. Wonderful are those of MIU MIU (bordeaux ones are my favorite). They are perfect with pants, with knee-length skirts (suitable for return to the office) and also with jeans, for those who make a more “comfortable” work!
• LE SLIPPERS, un altro must che ti permetterà di essere comoda (dopo un mese in infradito è dura “rimontare” sul tacco 12…), ma, allo stesso tempo, alla moda. Meravigliose quelle di MIU MIU (quelle bordeaux le mie preferite). Sono perfette con i pantaloni, con le gonne al ginocchio (adatte per il rientro in ufficio) ed anche con i jeans, per chi fa un lavoro più “comodo”!!

NO TO:

• THE SKIRT ON THE PANTS, I know that is all the rage this year and that our lord CHANEL has proposed it, but the three pieces just do not like! Nor do I believe it is so convenient to go to work, a simple skirt suit OR pant suit, will be just fine! Then, perhaps, I will change my mind, and you will see me in meetings with pants, skirt, jacket all together, but for the moment….
• LA GONNA SUI PANTALONI, lo so benissimo che è di gran moda quest’anno e che anche nostro signore CHANEL lo ha proposto, ma il tre pezzi proprio non mi piace!!! Non credo nemmeno sia così comodo per andare a lavorare, un semplice tailleur gonna O pantaloni, andrà più che bene!! Poi, magari, mi ricredo, e mi vedrai alle riunioni con pantaloni, gonna, e giacca tutti insieme, ma per ora…..

• THE BACKPACK,it is back to work, not back to school!! They’re cute, ok, but they are not suitable for us moms that we must also work! A nice bag there makes your day happy and we can also put in the computer and the microwave oven (you never know who we’ll be late and you have to prepare the dinner in a hurry) .. what goes in your backpack?? I still remember that cute one of PRADA, it was super mignon and was a real effort put in everything I needed, but I was eighteen!! To back to work I FORBID you to buy a backpack. OK?
• LO ZAINETTO, è ritorno al lavoro, non ritorno a scuola!!!! Sono carini, ok, ma non si addicono a noi mamme che dobbiamo anche lavorare!! Una bella borsa ci rallegra la giornata e riusciamo a metterci dentro anche il computer ed il forno a microonde (non si sa mai che facciamo tardi e dobbiamo preparare la cena di corsa).. nello zainetto cosa ci sta??? Ricordo ancora quello carinissimo di PRADA super mignon e la fatica per stiparci dentro tutto il necessario, ma avevo diciotto anni!!!! Per tornare al lavoro ti VIETO di acquistare uno zainetto. OK??

• THE GOLD, not in the sense of the jewels, those are fine, as long as fake and immense, but in the sense of GOLD TOTAL LOOK (almost metallic) that does more than eighties, but does not fit at all to the historical period in which we live .. . We have to thanks that we still have a job, so, do not dress like a candy wrapper!… sobriety is a great business card. Bet on extravagant accessories and flashy jewelry,  these ones are allowed and they give you even more austerity!!!!
• L’ORO,  non nel senso dei gioielli, quelli vanno benissimo, purchè finti ed immensi, nel senso di ORO TOTAL LOOK (quasi metallico) che fa più che anni ottanta, ma non si addice affatto al periodo storico in cui stiamo vivendo… Ringraziando che abbiamo ancora un lavoro, non ci presentiamo vestite come l’involucro di una caramella… la sobrietà è un ottimo biglietto da visita. Punta su accessori stravaganti e gioielli appariscenti, quelli sono consentiti e ti danno ancora più austerità!!!

DAUGHTER
(for those who, not as Fiammetta, must get back to SCHOOL –  per chi, non come Fiammetta, deve tornare a SCUOLA)

YES TO:

• THE BIG COLLARS,  also to be added on top of shirts and t-shirts. They are all the rage for us moms, but with a sober and simple outfit and  a big collar (strictly round) your daughter will be super chic and its back to school I would say perfect!!
• I COLLETTONI  anche da aggiungere sopra a camicie e magliette. Sono di gran moda anche per noi mamme, ma con un outfit semplice e sobrio e un collettone (rigorosamente tondo) la vostra bambina sarà super chic ed il suo rientro a scuola direi perfetto!!

• THE RED, even for back to school, do not worry, it is a perfect color to be in the classroom. Then, the background of the Tartan (true symbol of the school) is not always red? Risk with a red coat and, why not, with the flat shoes as Dorothy in the Wizard of OZ! You’ll see that your daughter will be perfect and also very stylish.
• IL ROSSO, anche per tornare a scuola, non ti spaventare, è un colore perfetto per stare tra i banchi. Poi, lo sfondo della fantasia Tartan (vero simbolo della scuola) non è sempre rosso?? Osa pure con un cappottino e rosso e, perchè no, con delle ballerine da Dorothy nel MAgo di OZ!! Vedrai che la tua bambina sarà perfetta ed anche molto elegante.

• The COLORED SOCKS TO THE KNEE, as long as it is not too cold, socks and knee-length skirt are, in my opinion, the only real outfits for back to school (schools with uniforms have adopted it as always). If you think it is a look too conformist and boring, get creative with brightly colored socks, patterned, striped, polka dots, in short, you can find it in a matter of every kind and nature. Practical, easy to clean and always seem to have a new look.
• I CALZETTONI COLORATI FINO AL GINOCCHIO, finchè non è ancora troppo freddo, i calzettoni e la gonna al ginocchio sono, secondo me, il vero ed unico outfit per tornare a scuola (le scuole con le divise lo hanno adottato da sempre). Se ti sembra un look troppo comformista e noioso, sbizzarrisciti con calzettoni super colorati, in fantasia, a righe, a pois, insomma, ne puoi trovare in giro di ogni genere e tipo. Pratici, facilmente lavabili e sembra sempre di avere un look nuovo.

NO TO:

• FLOWERED PANTS for smaller, it is not time for her to copy your favorite outfits and floral design, on those little legs, feel incomplete and almost ridiculous. For back to school jeans are always perfect and pants must be solid colored, or at least, polka dots paired with neutral colors (white and blue ate the top).
• I PANTALONI A FIORI per le più piccole, aspetta a farle copiare il tuo outfit preferito e la fantasia floreale, su quelle piccole gambette, sembrerà incompleta e quasi ridicola. Per tornare a scuola i jeans sono sempre perfetti ed i pantaloni devono essere in tinta unita o, al limite, a pois abbinati con colori neutri (bianco e blue i migliori).

• THE SEQUINS for the day! Please, no! I know that great designers have made skirts to dream and sweaters that seem stars (I do not go crazy and as long as I’m in charge, Fiammetta can forget them), but are not suitable for the day, let alone to go back to school . Mother who does not know how to resist, buy well a piece of clothing awash in sequins, but keep it for an important occasion, or keep it in the closet waiting for better times .. 😉
• LE PAILETTES  per il giorno!! Ti prego, no!!! Lo so che fantastici stilisti hanno disegnato gonne da sogno e maglioncini che sembrano stelle (a me, personalmente, non fanno impazzire e, finchè comando io, Fiammetta se li può scordare), ma non sono adatti per il giorno, tantomeno per tornare a scuola. Mamma che non sai resistere, acquista pure un capo inondato di pailettes, ma conservalo per un’occasione e tienilo nell’armadio in attesa di tempi migliori.. 😉

• MATCHING CLOTHES TO THE SOCKS, you lose the overall size. They are nice if your daughter has less than two years, then, it becomes a look too sugary and not too practical. Do you know if, in the first wash, socks lose the color and not the same for the dress??!!
• LE CALZE ABBINATE AI VESTITI, si perde la dimensione generale. Sono carine se tua figlia ha meno di due anni, poi, diventa un look troppo chiccoso e nemmeno troppo pratico. Sai se, al primo lavaggio, le calze perdono il colore ed il vestito no??!!

SON
(for those who,as the sister, must get back to SCHOOL –  per chi, come la sorella, deve tornare a SCUOLA)

YES TO: 

• THE OVERLAPPING, a t-shirt and over a denim shirt and topped with a cardigan or sweater are perfect for back to school and to make your son fashionable, to make him feel comfortable and to make him feel, why not, even a little “macho”! A pair of jeans or cargo pants, then will complete a perfect look!
• LE SOVRAPPOSIZIONI, una t-shirt con sopra una camicia di jeans e con sopra un cardigan o un golfino sono perfetti per tornare a scuola e per rendere tuo figlio alla moda, per farlo stare comodo e per farlo sentire, perchè no, anche un pò “macho”!!! Un paio di jeans o un cargo pant, poi, completeranno un look perfetto!

• THE HIGH SNEAKERS, the only comfortable shoe, always in fashion and suitable for school for a boy. I do not think there’s any doubt about it! Buy a pair, or two, now and your son will be ok until Christmas!
• LE SNEAKER ALTE, l’unica scarpa comoda, sempre alla moda ed adatta per la scuola per un maschio. Non credo ci siano dubbi a riguardo!! Acquistane un paio, o due, adesso e tuo figlio sarà ok fino a Natale!!!

• THE CARDIGAN, around there are some wonderful! Perfect for the school under a white shirt for the most classic (maybe with jeans and not with classic trousers, please!) and super trendy with plaid shirts and t-shirts that appear (in this case goes well pants just a little more classic, but just a little, ok?).
• IL CARDIGAN, in giro ce ne sono di stupendi!! Perfetti per la scuola con sotto una camicia bianca per i più classici (magari con i jeans e non con un pantalone a sigaretta, per favore!!) e super trendy con camicie a quadri e t-shirt che spuntano (in questo caso va bene anche un pantalone appena più classico, ma appena, ok??).

NO TO:

• THE BRACES, I find them uncomfortable, old and give the air a fake scholar who does not fit the children’s. I accept it only if your son has more than thirteen years old and wants to be fashionable at all costs! I’ve seen many around and I do not think are appropriate for a return to school as it should be!
• LE BRETELLE, io le trovo scomode, antiche e danno l’aria a finto studioso che non si addice ai bambini: Le accetto solo se tuo figlio ha più di tredici anni e vuole fare il modaiolo a tutti i costi!! Ne ho viste tantissime in giro e non credo siano adatte per un rientro a scuola come si deve!!

• THE CAPRI PANT, unless the school needs it as uniform! If, by chance, it is not, leave it alone! Your son, who is three or sixteen years old, is a person with an intellect, which, when it will revise its picture of the first grade with capri pants and jacket insailor style, will have every right to not talk to you for at least a couple of ‘years! There are millions of pants around, if jeans do not seem to fit your prince, try a cargo pants or a comfortable one with drop crotch and narrow at the bottom. That’s fine blue.
• IL PINOCCHIETTO,a meno che la scuola non li richieda come divisa!! Se, per caso, non è così, lascia stare!! Tuo figlio, che abbia tre o sedici anni, è una persona dotata di intelletto, il quale, quando rivedrà le sue foto della prima elementare con pinocchietto blu e giacchina in stile marinaretto, avrà tutto il diritto di non rivolgerti la parola per almeno un paio d’anni!!! Ci sono milioni di pantaloni in giro, se proprio i jeans non ti sembrano adatti al tuo principino, prova con un cargo pant o con un pantalone comodo con il cavallo basso e stretto in fondo. Va benissimo il blu!!

• THE BACKPACKS WITH MONSTERS unnatural and gigantic that, during the interval, take life too! Are male, it is true, and have a natural propensity for brutes, but shows understanding for the poor teachers and buy a backpack for your child where the “Monster & Co” are only mentioned!
• GLI ZAINI CON MOSTRIinnaturali e giganteschi che, durante l’intervallo, prendono pure vita!! Sono maschi, è vero, ed hanno una naturale propensione per i bruti, ma dimostra comprensione verso le povere insegnanti e acquista uno zaino per tuo figlio dove i “Monster&Co” siano solo accennati!!

One last tip for ALL: THE COMFORT ‘BEFORE ANY OTHER THING!! They are always children / teenagers who go to school and have to think to STUDY and not to what they wear! Leave it in my hands!!! 😉

Un ultimo consiglio per TUTTI: LA COMODITA’ PRIMA DI OGNI ALTRA COSA!!!! Sono sempre bambini/ragazzi che vanno a scuola e che devono pensare a STUDIARE e non a come sono vestiti!! A quello ci penso io!!! 😉
